Is it ok?

If you have this really amazing conversation with someone over YM ....is it possible to post that on your blog or some things are better left private? And what I mean is copy paste the conversation. Do you think doing this is still 'bloggish?" or it's not a good idea?

I would do it. Unless they ask me not to or if it is already established that whats said remains between the two of us.

I think you ought to have the permission of the other person first. I'd be really annoyed if someone posted a conversation with me on their blog without asking, even if it wasn't a personal discussion it would still feel like a breach of my privacy.

whew ok i sent a note of permission. i could imagine how horrible i would feel the next day if i did it out of impulse. i am waiting for that person's approval and you guys are right.
