Is Microsofts SP3 for XP really only crashing AMD processor pc's?

Hi - According to The Register, microsofts new Service pack 3 for XP has caused horrendous problems for users running the automatic install when it was released earlier this week.

Continual re-boots etc reported by many.

One Microsoft blogger apparently has suggested that it's only AMD processor machines affected.

Have any of you run SP3 and have you been affected?

    Works fine for me never had a problem and I only use AMD

      Hi crkian - glad to hear. I've finally made the switch to mac.

      Given the number of windows uses - this could still be a very small problem by comparison.
