Is Paula Abdul Really Gone from American Idol?

What are you thoughts about American Idol severing the relationship with Paula Abdul? Do you think this is just a publicity stunt and they will have her on the show just before it airs? I think they are going to bring her back just before the first episode. She added allot to the show! Would love to hear your thoughts!

I am really surprised there hasn't been any discussion about this. Is anyone even going to watch American Idol this season?

She left the show already am i right? I don't think she'll able to return unless AI producers have any other offers to her like a raise in her talent fee, etc.

  I wonder if money was the real issue. Or is there some back door scheme to gain media buzz about the Abdul drama. I think she added a unique flair to the show!

She added absolutely nothing to the show. She went on there slurring like she was drugged up on an IV. She made absolutely no sense. She was a waste of airtime and I'm glad she will be complete history from AI!

  I think she added a bit of comedic relief to the show. It was fun to watch her ramble on and make a fool out of herself. Her interaction with Simon was also fun to watch. Kara added a whole lot of nothing to the show. I guess the only reason why she is back on the show is because she can’t get a job doing anything else! Thanks for your comments…it will be neat to see who aggress and disagrees with us! Where is the next comment???

  I don't watch AI to see some bumbling drug addict (Paula) get paid millions just to act like a fool. The show is supposed to be about the singers and I expect the judges to add intelligent (not Paula) criticism to the show. Kara is such a better judge than Paula it's not even worth debating. You don't know how many times I wished Paula would have just vacated her seat and taken a permanent vacation last season. Now it's a reality and that bumbling waste of airtime can go and act a fool all she wants on her own time.

I believe Paula will be making a move to the the show 'So You Think You can Dance.' On the bright side, Shania Twain may be one of the early guest judges on American Idol :]

  It is going to be neat to see all the guest judges on American Idol this season. But would rather see them take Kara's place!

Well it looks like Paula has been replaced with Ellen Degeneres for the upcoming season of American Idol. I think Ellen will do a good job, but she has some big shoes to fill! What do you think, will Ellen get you to watch American Idol or are you not watching because Paula is gone? Leave your comments and lets see what the majority says!

  I don't really understand this. What has Ellen had to do with music? She's entertaining and a lot of people like her, sure, but what qualifies her to comment?

  I have to agree with you. I believe they maybe just adding Ellen as a comedy edge to the show? Possibly the producers may think it will boost ratings by adding her but who knows...

  I think she will be able to provide some comic tones to the show, but she doesn't have the stongest background in the music industry. I think she was a good choice, but would rather see Ellen replace Kara!

Who cares?We in the U.K.have to suffer this garbage until Christmas.The "contestants" have stars in their eyes-Cowell has pounds,or dollars in his eyes.
Notice how cash -Cowell pretended to be amazed at the hairy one aka Susan Boyle singing-the rest of the panel were the same.Yet he heard her in rehersals, but hey folks thats showbusiness!

She used to be very good dancer and singer , i still keep some posters of her on my wall(off course with not so much clothes).
