   We decided many years ago not to have a gift exchange at all between adults. Also children in my family have never been taught that Santa was anything other than a mythical being.

   I call myself "the Christmas Nazi" because I tell my kids there is no such thing as Santa. I don't want to lie to them.

      nope We do talk about the Tooth Fairy tongue in cheek, but they know she's not real.

      what's so bad about your kids believing in magical things? last i saw, it never caused anyone any harm, having at least one happy thing to look forward to in life. My mom left us when i was eight, and i've never known my dad or been close to my family, so a whole day of being loved is a gift. Santa gave me that. so i hope your kids have/had an amazing childhood, because if not, you should be ashamed, taking that from them.
