Is SKool a Form of Child Abuse?

Forcing children to sit for hours in a chair, feeding them with data and information which is totally uninspiring, isn't that a form of child abuse?

Who said learning is uninspiring. I was inspired by a lot of my teachers to write, think freely and push myself to acheive.

I think NOT teaching children is child abuse.

  most of the kids i have met say they hate school, also many of the adults I have spoken to also hated school, so where's the problem

  A lot of kids say they hate school because school probably isn't the number one place a child wants to be during the day. But there are PLENTY of kids who do like school. Who like the learn and be with their friends. I didn't always enjoy school, but I look back and realize it was a valuable experiance.
  
  It's a toss up...some good teachers/ some bad. Some good schools/ some bad.

The bad memories just won't go away, and the good ones fade quickly.

I'd say it's abuse all the way around. The teachers torture the kids, and the kids torture each other. After a while, some of the kids learn to enjoy it. Those are the ones who continue on to college and become a success.

No, but I do think the schools are making it worse and worse every year. It's largely our fault though - the way we want human beings to live is all wrong...

Depends on how it is taught. I am a super cool teacher at least me kids think so. They love the field trips and experiments we do and we get up and move around alot instead of sitting for hours. Oh an my lunches are alot better.

i only hated school because of the other kids... i loved learning, but hated being picked on! i think being made fun of the real reason so many kids hate school! i also think letting your kids be uneducated is one of the worst things a parent can do. i'm so grateful to my parents for the education they've helped me have...
