Is it? I keep hearing celeb reviews on the radio - they don't like the music, the plots to complicated, Bond - you don't now whether he's a good guy or a bad guy etc etc and on it goes.

Maybe I'm such a big Bond fan that they can do no wrong - I haven't seen it yet but already it's on my list of DVD'd to buy.

Are these reviews real or a miss-use of power and privilege?

Reviewers have to write or say something eye or ear catching and it's easier for them to be in the negative. The first film was well received so they have to nitpick on the second. I can't wait to see it and will enjoy it for what it is. There is always something to enjoy in a Bond film.

It's releasing in India before America!

    Can you believe that!

Indian bloggers like me will have reviews up a week before our american counterparts!

They probably released it in NZ last year Sometimes they do this to sway market opinion and get a big opening weekend box office figure. That's why they started opening movies on a Thursday, extra day to count for the opening weekend.

In NZ they release months in advance and test audience reactions, sometimes they even re-edit the movie before a worldwide release.

Bond is a good guy in that he is working for the side of good but he isn't meant to be a likeable character. Originally in the books he wasn't so that is what they are trying to recreate now, the original bond!

Yeah, 'cause everyone loves Ian Fleming's books. I think a part of the reason for the pans is that 007 is more a franchise than a character from a series of books. He's supposed to have witty banter, tuxedos, bigger-than-life bad guys, hot women throwing themselves at him, futuristic or impossible gadgets, and awesome cars, just like he has for 40 years. Everything else is gravy. If you take away most of those things and make him into an action hero, you aren't making James Bond movies any more.

Hi Guys - Thanks for the input!

I think the keyword here is 'Critics' so they have to be critical. Is it all a plot, more fiendish than any Spectre plot to get us to go and watch the film? Apparently there's been more hype and trailers/tv promo for this bond than any other but to be honest I've not noticed anything extra.

Bond - nobody does it better!

I thought the last Bond movie with the new guy was/is the best Bond film yet....even though he didn't get with the girl.
