How can nobody mention music? Music is amazing. Two recent albums that are really good: Discipline by Janet Jackson, and I Am Sasha Fierce by Beyonce.

Those blissful moments AFTER sex. Performance has been performed. Climax has been reached. One can roll back...sigh "whew"...and relax.

Sex with someone you know and care about is the best.
You know what she likes, she knows what you like.
And both make sure nobody will be disappointed.
It usually takes a bit of time to reach that level.
But well, not too sure this is what we're talking about in this thread. Even when talking about love...

I get more pleasure from love than sex. Yeah honestly. It is because sex last only 1 hour but feeling in love and to be love happens all day.

A guy was sitting in a bar when he noticed the fellow sitting beside him was acting strange. This fellow would order a shot of whiskey and splash it on his left hand. Then this fellow would ask the bartender for another shot, and splash it on his hand again.
Curious, he had to ask him, “Why are you doing that?”
The fellow replied, “I’m getting my date drunk.” -
To me telling a story under the right circumstances, with the right energy present, it better than any orgasm I've ever had. I feel as if I am inside everyone present and blowing a mental load into each and every person.

@vijayanths
Sexual satisfaction can be achieved without a partner or with one. And, most certainly there are pleasures in life that transcend orgasms.
(1) Saving a life is one of them and I have been blessed with this pleasure.
(2) Being granted a second chance to live when one has been declared dead, and discovering the pleasure of experiencing that all your senses are in working order, and your memories are intact is another one that I have twice enjoyed.
(3) My siblings and freinds say that giving birth to a child or fathering a child and being present at the birth is another pleasure that transcends an orgasm.
(4) Knowing that one is truly loved is the paramount pleasure of all. For even when I was so seriously ill that sex was impossible, I had the pleasure of knowing such love. -

I think it really depends on what drives your personality, and what motivates you. Some people may have a passion for money. So when they feel like they're making money, they feel great pleasure. While others may derive pleasure from helping people.

Vijayanth have asked a secret and sacred question. But regrettably, a majority of respondents have chosen not to share their secret and the truth. I really want sex but given a choice between sex and money i would go for money. but sex has different thrill and ecstasy than money and we should not compare the two. everyone will want money and sex. What is the use of money when you don't have the ecstasy of sex? Undoubtedly, sex is such a universal urge that no one can suppress. But when both are in plenty then the joy is doubled. Lol

Money and Gold ... Ramakrishna... the whole world wants money and gold.
Talking of irritating posts, these posts atre by far the mosyt irritating
I don't know why you guys don't get yourselves nice girlfriends instead-
You asked in another post what irritates you. I said your posts about sex a irritating. You did that 6 months ago and you're still doing it.
I don't understand you guys sometimes, but if that's where you're at that's your business I guess, but you've opened yourself up for comment here, and what you write is the equivalent of a 15 year old at a boys boarding school who thinks sex is about Playboy magazine.
And yes I know who Ramakrishna was, the tasted the sugar and never was the sugar

And here's why I get so pissed off with Indians talking about sex.
I love India, it's culture, it's music ( I studied with one of Ali Akbar khans top students), its religions, its food, its art....
I traveled to India five times, and apart from on Ashrams, every Indian male that started a conversation with me, within about 2 sentences started talking about sex. Sex is so suppressed there, it has taken on some very weird attitudes in the minds of so many Indian men.
So I love India, but I personally think Indian men are totally sexually frustrated and it seems that they have to discuss it at ever opportunity, whether it be appropriate or not, it always comes up. -
nice to note I am talking to a matured person. He also knows about Ramakrishna so well. I am like a school boy who does not understand why Ramakrishna came into this discussion. When 30 plus responded to the post with interest, you seem to stand out of crowd.
We have a lot of useful things to do than wasting time in silly arguments. If you have time to you can go ahead, I will have no other option except to ignore it as it does not deserve my time. -

Mr. vijayanths asked about sex and as the discussions carried on by acousticguitarist it ends up it turns towards Lord. Ramkrishna, Sahaj Samadhi, Nirbikalpa Samadhi... and total sacred topics. Really interesting and will be happy if you people start a new discussion on Lord. Ramakrishna or Nirbikalpa Samadhi.
@acousticguitarist - > I am an indian guy happily married with one daughter to bring up. The least discussion I ever made with anyone is about sex. Indians, as you mentioned are sex craved, is partially true. But not a fact. Also according to Indian Philosophy as explained by Lord. Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda is mostly the openness in the religious culture (Dharma)(Though that is regularly violated in India). To really learn about Indian religious viewpoint, you may go for the collection of speeches by Swami Vivekananda.
@vijayanths - > Everybody wants money for different reasons. They want to fulfill there requirements. Mainly they want it to pay back their debts, ailment of their close relatives, good education for their children, to buy some commodity they need - a washing machine, an AC or a car. Sex can be bought by money love cannot. So, people do not crave for sex when they get the money, rather do the needful.
Thanks.

Shankha
Thanks for your response.
My references to Ramakrishna were relevant. Ramakrishna, although not an intellectual, did actually refer to those two things money and women as being the major obstacles. The very first response here mentioned money, so it was a carry on from a theme. After my travels in India I stand my ground on what I have said based on my personal experience. My response here to Vijay is also based on my experiences here with his posts, which I also stated are no different to the way they were six months ago.
And I will also restate that I do have a passion for India and am adamant that there is incredible suppression of sex in India, and really it is just sitting under the surface, and as Krishnamurthi stated, underlying many of the India Supposed saints is suppressed sexuality. Obviously, we would not include such persons as Ramana, Meher Baba, Shirdi Baba, Neem Karoli Baba or Anadamayi Maa and others.
I reiterate that India is definitely the heart of the world, the seat of Dharma. And it is fair to say that each culture will have persons at all ends of the spectrum when it comes to character. I do not really wish to be disrespectful to Indians, because to be honest, it has always been my dream to live and eventually die in India.-
@Shanka:
Thanks for your response.( my real name is Shankar)
Yes, As you mentioned this discussion has been unnecessarily carried on to Ramakrishna and Vivekananda(totally to different subject)
Of course it will be nice to discuss about those holy philosophers.
I agree with you that money can buy sex not love. I can also add money can buy bed not sleep.can buy rich food, but not appetite. With out love sex is also not really good/satisfying. -
@acoustic guitarist:
Please check out how many posts I have created so far at BC. It is more than 100. I would have talked about sex in about 5 posts. And even if I talk about it more, if it irritates you, well you could have avoided posting your comments here(I have not compelled you to comment on my thread)
World is vast: different people: different culture: different tastes: If guitar is your passion, guitar sound may be irritating to some body else.That does not mean he has to point it out it in a discussion forum like this.
Indians are craving for sex(who are not, what is wrong in it? After all man is an social animal)
Even if you visit India 100 times you won't understand our culture as we do. Similarly I can't understand your culture.
In a common forum like this we have to mind our words and comments. Every one is free to post a thread of his/her interest. If you don't like the thread just keep away from it.
Ramakrishna was the Guru (teacher) of Vivekananda. He was intellectual.( you said not an intellectual- see you have half knowledge about India and Indians)
You agree India is the seat of Dharma. You agree Indians are good in character.
But you think Indians are irritating because they are craving for sex. You can see how are making contradictory statements on the subject.
The great "Kama sutra" was given to the world by a great Indian saint Vatsyayana(he never had sex in his life, he wrote the book with his inner vision)
Finally I don't think talking about sex is sin. I don't talk about it all the time as you say.
You can never satisfy all the people in the world.
BC is for all, all can post their views. We all are living in a free world.Never try to interfere in freedom of speech. -
Vivekananda was the intellectual, Ramakrishna wasn't, RamaK would always get Vivek to answer any questions relating to the intellect, this is a fact, check your history of the two. Because of his intellectual prowess, Vivek could get up and speak at the world conference of religions in the 20's in the west, whereas when RamaK stood outside a church and looked in out of curiosity, he was chased away because he was considered a low beggar. Yes thay had the Guru Disciple relationship but both of them had very different skills. Ramak was a total Bhakti, and although Viveka was a disciple of RamaK he hinted at jnana. RamaK constantly reaffirmed his "Tasting the Sugar", as opposed the one pointedness of Advaita, which in his terms was "Being the sugar".
So in answer to your original question , the greater than sex itself would have to be "being the sugar", I'm not overly interested in bhakti.

I think it depends on who you have sex with and if you are compatible - but in my case I can honestly say it is the best thing from my view point!!!!

@acousticguitarist:
You are not going to accept even if I say 2+ 2= 4, yet I Want to provide some information, it is up to you to think over it.
Glad to note you accept that Vivekananda was an intellectual. Remember Vivekananda was a original thinking person, he would never accept anything for granted.
An intellectual like him would never accept a guru who was not an intellectual. This is simple common sense and a genius like you can't understand this, strange and pity.
Here I give you some information from wikipedia:
He became well-versed in the Puranas, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and the Bhagavata Purana.
( a person well versed in these stuff is undoubtedly an intellectual)
Ok, if you still can't accept it , here is what your intellectual Vivakanada says about him.
In London and New York in 1896, Swami Vivekananda delivered his famous address on Ramakrishna entitled "My Master." He said of his master: "this great intellect never learnt even to write his own name, but the most brilliant graduates of our university found in him an intellectual giant.
I don't know what scale you have to measure intellect.
I am glad you know something about India, but half knowledge is always dangerous, friend. -
