Is there anything you won't touch on your blog? Through fear? Through being accused of being something you're not (or you think you're not) ie sexist, racist, homophobic? Any no go areas for you and if you don't mind saying - why?

Yes, I won't post naked pictures of myself on there. I wouldn't want to traumatise my readers and make them sick ha ha.

I wouldn't be traumatised - maybe you should try it and see what kind of feedback you get?

Erm, no, I think I'll pass and you'll just have to trust me on this one.

I should have said - I try not to be too controversial about countries I haven't visited or would like to visit again - the way the internet is policed and information is gathered these days, I suspect it could have a real impact on a visa application...

I am way out there on my blog, I don't think there's anything about me I'm not willing to say. It stops at me, though. My daughter is completely off limits. I'll refer to her, but no name and no pics.

I'm well aware the vast majority of child abuse, etc. comes from the family and rarely from internet stalkers, but the idea makes me damned uncomfortable.

You're probably very wise Bradley - it took us a year before we decided to show a pic of our kids on the internet but even then it was with 'reservations' - it's now been a year since that decision and nothing untoward has happened but we never ever show anything in the background which could give away a locaton other than the nearest city.

Normally I try to avoid long posts about sad subjects...but I broke the rule today.....

Ohhh that was a good hook Chrissy - now I gotta go see for myself - brb.

      Ben

      Edited to add -

Aww sorry Chrissy I had no idea it was as serious and personal as that - Big hugs.

Bit heavy for a blog post huh? I don't think I will make a habit of it
But, thanks for the hugs Oz
Its really difficult the one about children. I see some beautiful photographic blogs with family pics...I know that as an Remote Controlled aircraft flyer we are told to be careful about putting pics up of youngsters from the flying field, its quite sad mehtinks.

No I think a truly great blog gives an insight into the person behind it - and yours certainly does that - it's touching Chrissy and shows the depth of understanding and feeling you have for others.

My blog is not about expressing hatred towards people.

I don't write about my actual job on my blogs, and for my friends who were involved in any funny stories, I don't use their real names.

Also, for my humor blog, I figure it's fine for ME to take the brunt of the humor, but I don't think picking on other folks is usually very funny or fair. So I try to steer clear of any hurtful humor.

I surprise myself when I talk about personal issues about myself when it relates to a subject I'm talking about, such as divorce, parental alienation, depression, death of a child. I won't talk about issues that are 'dark' unless i'm speaking against the issue.

    No nudity!

Thanks for the replies folks - I wasn't sure what to expect in response - seems there's less 'no go' areas than I had thought there would be though - a good thing IMO.
