Is there such a thing as a fat gene?

Obesity and poverty is a paradox right? So if the fat gene is the new curse, why has Africa and the rest of the third world been spared?

Maybe because a lot of Africa and the third world is starving and they walk everywhere. The fat gene doesn't actually make you fat anyway.

Was this thread supposed to me a haven for fat pictures and jokes?

Define "fat gene"? There are people with thyroid problems that can make them gain weight that they are unable to lose naturally.

Is that what you mean?

The problems that cause the malfunctions could, however be tied to generational living habits. D-evolution, as it were.
