Yellow diamonds DO come from the earth.
I would have to hold the diamond in my hand to tell you one way or another whether it was enhanced or not.
There are many colors in diamonds - from colorless (clear) to black - opaque - and many variations in between - with the most of them coming in gray and grayish offwhite.
I find a lot of champagne diamonds are mistaken for yellow diamonds.
I think what I am seeing above is not a real diamond - but I cannot tell without a lot of machine work (laser) to tell the correct properties. -
But you already know this - cause you sell your diamonds on Ebay - nice stuff - I DID LOOK.
It's too bad you don't offer diamonds already in rings too - tho. -
Natural yellow diamonds are alluvial...they are not mined but found on or near the surface of the earth.
There are many shades of yellow diamonds, and that colour can be enhanced in the lab. Personally, I don't like the canary yellow (the highest grade of yellow) because they are a little too neon and flashy for my taste. I prefer the fancy yellow, which is less intense, but still noticeably yellow in colour.
My engagement ring was a 1 ct fancy yellow brilliant cut diamond set with 20 blue-white baguettes in 18k white gold; it was stolen. We get some very nice diamonds here in South Africa, though.
I am not impressed with "champagne" diamonds. They are just pale brown diamonds which, for decades, were not used for jewellery but in industrial applications. I have seen them set in jewellery at prices that are just shameful for an industrial grade diamond!!
