Is This How We Treat Our Heroes?

Ummm ... the soldiers are dead. The headstones and plots are in poor repair, and there is probably a maintenance contract with terms that are not being adhered to.
Why not determine who is in a position to do something to have the plots properly attended to and demand that they do their job? Why not contact your elected representatives and ask for assistance in seeing that the plots are well maintained?
IMO worse still, is the fact that vets returning home alive are not getting the medical attention they need.
P.S. Where I live community volunteers do this kind of work and that saves us the expense of hiring people to do it. Maybe a group of concerned volunteers ought to volunteer their services and do the same.
