It's 80 in Chicago today!

Hallejuah! Spring has arrived in Chicago. I can feel the winter seasonal depression lifting already.
Has Spring arrived where you are? And I want all those spoiled Southern US, California and Florida folk to just put a sock in it.
The rest of us had a long, hard winter.

85 in Southern, WV. Being a Clevelander though makes me laugh at winter here. They close schools for an inch of snow. In Cleveland it has to be blizzardy and to the knees.-
Remember the Obama's cracking up over DC schools being closed over an inch of snow?
Chicago is notorious for bad winters. Our blizzards are you can't move your car because the snow is up around the roof. -
Here when it gets to an inch they don't know how to handle it. Tons of car accidents, people late for work by an hour and a half, mass hysteria.
I want to throw every one of them in Cleveland during lake effect snow.

It was a perfect spring day in Northern England too, not too warm but warm enough for a T shirt.-
Sounds perfect. I plan on logging off soon and taking my bicycle up to the Chicago Botanical Gardens for a long, sunny ride.

Sounds good I went out onto the estuary and marina near my house to take some photos, I'm so glad winter has gone.

Is winter in England very harsh? Lots of snow?

It is definitely harsher up where I live in the north (Yorkshire) and it does get a lot colder than London and the south east but I wouldn't put it on a par with Chicago for harsh winters.
It's very rare that we will get more than 2ft of snow.

It's absolutely beautiful in Boston today--70 degrees and this weekend, it's supposed to break record temperatures.
I'm going to the Yankees/Red Sox game tonight at Fenway Park and I can't wait. I just love summer (and baseball). -

Beautiful day here in Baltimore, MD. Probably in the mid 70's if I had to guess.
Can't wait for all these allergies to go away either! The past week has been the worst for allergies! -
over 70 at my end of NY. Warmer tomorrow so I'll be doing yardwork all weekend! -
Blurgh 80 is too hot. -
It got up to the mid seventies here in the South of England.
