Lets face it, blogging and the internet is addicting. We (I)could be out doing so many things. Are we spending to much time online and missing out on the 'real world' ?

some time , I spent all a day in front of computer by websurfing. How stupid am I?
  2. VioletsVintage
Oh you are not stupid.....just addicted. Its getting foggy here in SF so maybe thats my excuse to stay here just a little bit longer.

I agree, both are very addictive. I've spent more than enough time online this week, but it's been fun!

Today however was a day to catch up on chores. Great to get outside and cut the grass, plant some flowers, trim some tree branches, go for a run....and now I'm having lunch with my daughter. It's a beautiful day and the blog will still be there later.

problem : too much time spent in front of the computer, too many beautiful days inside the house, no sunshine, and back hurts

solution : spend one or two days (rainy ones are good), write 7-10 posts, and timestamp them, so they get published automatically

Sometimes, I guess. But it's raining outside right now; so I guess I'm off the hook?

I try to prep things in advance if I can, too. Then it makes it easier when it's time for me to launch it.

i went to improv class today

but part of me would have liked to stay in and watch James Stewart movies all day on TCM. today was his birthday.

Try my solution to this neverending problem: wireless internet and a laptop. Enjoying the sunshine and the blogging/online world at the same time. Sitting in my backyard surrounded by trees, plants, birds, sunshine, and fresh air fuels the mind and the spirit. Having my computer there lets me write about while I am experiencing it.

LOL! My problem is that I get so caught up that I don't have a clue to the weather, the day or how many hours have even passed since I sat down at my desk and started working! Love Kristen's idea thought! I could do that... maybe!

You said it already, it's addictive.. what else is there to say? Lets start a "Anonymous Bloggers" help group or something like that hehe.

On a positive note; I have learned a great deal about using the internet and building my web site from blogging and forums like this. I learned how to fix my wireless from a forum discussion. People online are so skilled and its great for an older person who didn't have computers/computer classes when they were in school.

Yes indeed...I always set aside time to get everything done in a day...usually I wind up sleeping probably 3 hours a day less than I should so I get all my blogging done. Usually I don't need 8 hours anyway..I need about 4 or 5 tops...so it works out.

    The real world is overrated.

I've stayed online all night long many times. I get more accomplished late at night and in the wee hours of the morning. Must have internet access everywhere I go. So, yes, according to many of my family & friends, I'm addicted. They'll get over it. ;-)

    It's a beautiful day BECAUSE I'm blogging.
    1. cymrusteve
      That's a great answer zakman

    If it's a beautiful day, I won't be blogging.

I'll be outside enjoying the sun. Actually... that's a lie. Right now, I would probably be reading. Exam coming up! Aaaaaaaaah!
  20. VioletsVintage
Ok Ok...Blogging and the weather are beautiful! lol

    Whaddayamean 'missing out on the real world'? Isn't this the real world for us computer-internet-oholics? Where/how else could you get to meet so many people, see so many things, learn so much about everything you didn't want to know, and besides that...unless you're Superman, of course!!! :o}

Well it is foggy here today. On the North East Coast of UK we have had sea-fret, so now the chores are done I am OK here....however I do have the vacuum cleaner plugged in...so when hubby pulls up on the drive I am poised and ready to go! LOL!
  23. pp07
Hey, good trick mrsnesbitt! Wish I'd known that one...hehehe.
