It's all one big soap opera

Being that I think about stupid things all the time, I got to thinking about whether or not I really want to be a soap opera star.

Then I got to thinking about what kind of character I’d play. I mean, there are a handful of key women characters in EVERY show.

Honestly? I think soap operas are pretty much repetitive. Here in the UK the two main ones, Eastenders and Coronation St are ok but often run parallel type stories. I get bored with them very quickly though Corrie does have some wicked scripting which is worth tuning in for.

I prefer drama series like Desperate Housewives, Mistresses and Spooks and a few others where you don't get a drip feed three or four times a week but can enjoy looking forward to them.

Challenge yourself to something better, am sure it would be a better longterm career move.

Hmm. I could play an actor that either gets shot and/or cheated on over and over again, or I could just move to Detroit or New York City and live the dream.
