It's My First Time!!!!!

I just saw my first published hard copy article in print in a local magazine!!! How very very exciting!
I have another magazine going to press on the 15th with my article in it as well!
Both magazines reach three counties!! Not too shabby! Plus, the latter one might want me to do a monthly column for them!
I'm all smiles and just had to share!!!

The publishing part sounded okay, but this potential monthly gig sounds exciting!
Did you get this because of blogging? A lot of people forget, that besides the daily adsense and other monetary profits and earnings derived from blogging .. recognition, offline benefits from online work counts.-
No, I didn't get it from blogging, actually. I cold called some magazines and 2 bit. I sent them to my blog to see my writing style and then they requested the specific article I wanted to send in. So, it was kind of like a resume of sorts.

Very exciting indeed. These articles were not paid though. They were free and they are going to plug www.DOCintheBiz.com. However, I highly doubt I will get any traffic from them, and I'm NOT a negative person. I'm just being realistic. But either way, it was really neat to see my work in print and I hope to continue onto some paying jobs!

Trying to get a column one of the magazines that published my other article and it's lookiing good, so I'm excited about it. Then a couple more and I could make some money.
