I woke up to a beautiful first snow-fall of the season today. The ground is already covered, big fluffy flakes of snow!

I love snow!

I am on my way out to get some pictures to put up on my blog! If anyone responds to this, I am not ignoring you, just wanted to tell everyone, and will respond when I get back home..

Maybe with a picture or two..

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, I love snow too. Won't be long before it comes and covers the Tetons and forces me deep into my bunker where I will start babbling to myself and plotting world domination until spring.

Wonderful! You'd better get out your camera and start snapping away shots for your readers like me to view. I loved the phots and left you a comment.
P.S. Our trees are now turning to autumn colors.

Good Gravy...did you have to change twice !?! lol
I live in the interior of Alaska near a small town named Delta. You???
  6. DeadRooster
Living in Wisconsin for several years taught me to hate snow. But, right now, I would welcome a snowstorm. It's been in the high 90s here in my part of southern California almost every day and I am SICK of it!
    1. Arcticulates
I understand believe me I spent the first quarter of my life in Southern California..Good ole' sweltering hot Fontana ... Bloomington area! Yikes. I feel for ya!

Does this mean Palin won't be able to make the debate?

      Typical. Ugh.

      @Markstoneman
lol... Alaskan women do not let a little thing like tons of snow and -60 temps keep them from what needs to get done..

Even the schools don't close here unless it is -55...but they keep the doors open in case some little kid walks to school and doesn't realize it is -55.

      Alaskans are a tough lot!
    4. clioandme
We don't close schools for much in N.H. either (but we only see maybe -20 F some days), but in Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland the skies only have to sneeze to make everything stop. DC is a tiny bit tougher, though no one around here knows how to drive in snow.

Yet again my decision to move to South Louisiana is positively reinforced.
In all seriousness, glad you're enjoying it. I've had MORE than enough for far to long, myself.
    1. Arcticulates
Sounds like your in the perfect spot then...well maybe Florida... tho it gets to hot and humid there for me!
  9. melindaville
I love snow during the Holidays--and I am also an avid skier so I appreciate snow in the mountains. On a daily basis, I don't much care for it--personally, I am a warm weather person, mostly.

But I am happy for you that you are enjoying the snow so much!
    1. csiunatc
What i miss most living in South Florida is having four seasons. Fresh crisp autumn air. The smell of snow in the air.. The Colors.

      Maybe its time to move...
    2. Arcticulates
I can't say I am an avid skier...actually I really stink at sking.. My grandkids have decided I am hopeless!

    It's too earlier for winter.
  12. Anniepooh

I'm happy to have a few more weeks before the snow hits here. Where in Alaska are you? My mom is in Fairbanks right now - she's supposed to fly home tomorrow.
    1. Arcticulates
Maybe since that is pretty close to my place, she will come home to most of it melted... the way of first snows
  14. rainatee
Scared me for a moment. Do NOT like snow, can't wait for summer next year. Snow ... arrgghhhh
  15. robinj
I love snow too for the first month then after I have shovelled it waded through it slipped on the ice and froze my what evers off the novelty wears off for me
    1. Arcticulates
Wow...you give yourself a whole month, that usually takes about a week for me. Then I praise the person who made automatic car starters... and that I finally have one on my car. lol
  16. satijournal
It's a beautiful, sunny 82 degrees here in Denver. Maybe if Palin lived here, she wouldn't need a witch doctor.

I just drove from Las Vegas to Chicago. I drove up I-15 into Utah and then across I-70 in Colorado up I-76 to Nebraska and then I-80 across to Chicago. I went over montains...through valleys, and over rivers.

    I didn't see any snow!!!
    1. Arcticulates
Wow that is a lot of driving. I have friends that live in Las Vegas and Chicago.. and they are complaining of the heat.

None in Colorado...hummm, I just always assumed that there is always snow in the Colorado mountains. Just shows ya what I know..

I hate snow soooooo much!! I live in Michigan and the snow drives me absolutely nuts. It is the worst thing in the world. Sure, it's fine for the first foot or so but after that it becomes a horrible inconvenience that stays constant for month after month, after month. Every time you get in your car you have scrape it off, and then let your car heat up for ever. And even then you realize your windshield wipers are frozen, or your gas cap is frozen or your head lights have ice on them or something stupid like that. There is always something. Plus, there is the added constant high probability that your gunna slide off the road or get into an accident or get stuck, every time you go anywhere. Oh, and then there are the millions of potholes the snow plows leave behind that slowly destroy your car, and then there is the rather high chance that you'll hit the big one that bends your rim and blows out your tire on the highway (which has happen to me three times now). And thats just the beginning! What about the constant freezing you have endure every time you go outside! And because it's impossible to avoid the stupid stuff, (snow) your feet get cold, and when you finely get them warm again they are wet, and it's only a matter of time before you have to go back outside at which time your toes completely freeze. This of course goes on until you get home or something at the end of the day to change your socks. I could go on and on but I hopefully I have made my point. I hate snow!! It is the absolute worst thing in the world.
    1. Arcticulates
I can see that your undecided on how you feel about snow...
      lol
Just Kidding.. It is all you say and more!

      But I love it anyways..
    2. Sway
Well, where do you live that it's snowing already? I thought I lived in a pretty cold climate but it was 75 today.
    3. Arcticulates
@sway I live in the middle of Alaska it was 25 degrees this morning... last I looked it was 15 degrees tonight.
    4. Sway
lol, wow, but you probably moved there because you like that kind of weather, right?
    5. Sway
I like the complete opposite. I want to move to Arizona, soon!
    6. Arcticulates
Yes, I sure do love where I live... Arizona is too hot for me.. But I have friends there, so if I need a place to thaw out I can visit them. lol

another MI resident and I am not ready for te snow

Wow..it must be nice to have snow in your country. Mine is tropical one....and recently 4 months without a single rain...very hot indeed !
    potassiumrichfoods.blogspot.com
    1. Arcticulates
hot and no rain sounds sounds like California, only it isn't considered tropics. Now Hawaii is tropical but they have rain almost everyday, same with Florida. I like the snow and colder weather. But visiting the warmer climates are wonderful and an nice break.
  21. satijournal
I used to like the snow when I skied a lot. But it's been eight years since I've gone and I don't have any plans to take it up again. Bad knees.
    1. Arcticulates
I am the worst at sking... What I do is get a big tire-inner-tube and sit in it and sail down the hills that way.. I don't get hurt as much as getting my skies tangled in front of me or hitting a tree. It's lots of fun! Gosh haven't done that in a while. I guess I will make plans on doing that with the grandkids this winter!
  22. ranist22
Prefer the sun, myself. Snow on photos is fine.
    1. Arcticulates
Growing up in California and Florida. No seasons.. I wasn't sure if I really would like the cold weather, but to my surprise I actually love it... The other places are now too hot for me.
  23. Scribblerchick
After spending a lot of time in Russia and Kazakhstan adopting my children, I can say that I do NOT like snow. I hope I never see it again. That's why I live in Atlanta, where it snows once every 5 years for two hours, which is about the right amount...
    1. Arcticulates
You sound just like one of my sisters she isn't a cold weather, snow type person either... She will only come visit deep in the summer months.
  24. DebD
And I thought Maine was cold!
    1. Arcticulates
I have never been to Maine, but I hope to someday. I have some friends that live nearby and they have that wonderful deep Maine accent! They are so down to earth type people. I really enjoy being around them.
  25. mssusangale
No offense, but I'm glad I don't live where you live. I can't believe it's fall. I live on the water, and it's still warm here. I love the snow, I'm just not ready for cold weather.
    1. Arcticulates
Believe me no offense taken. lol... we are never ready for the snow either. We know all the signs but I guess we figure year after year if we ignore them that it isn't really gonna happen... But it does every time.
  26. Jeunelle
I can't stand snow, I like the fall most of all but have fun a get some shots on your camera.
    1. Arcticulates
Oh! I love fall too! The colors are unbelievably pretty! The air always feels so crisp!

I got a couple of shots with the camera if you have time stop by my blog sometime and take a look.

I was watching the Grey's Anatomy season premiere which is filmed about 20 min away from my house (LA, CA) and it was snowing. I was like Where in the world would it be snowing already??? I guess you answered my question! LOL
    1. Arcticulates
I like Grey's Anatomy! I haven't seen it in a while tho, been too busy to watch tv. But the long winter months are starting up... Plenty of time to catch up
