    who is your hosting provider?
    1. choconoodle
      it's a free hosting... ismywebsite.com
someone recommended that to me coz they don't have banners. it was all well at first until what happened last week
    2. bloggernoob
never heard of the platform. i would recommend that you use wordpress.com or blogger.com or blogspot.com for free blogging. If you want to get your own hosted wordpress blog, then go with hostgator, bluehost, or anhosting

    is it hacked ?
    1. choconoodle
no i don't think it is hacked... i think the hosting provider really got a problem.

choconoodle, I would strongly advise you not to use a free host, specially if you don't own a domain name. Instead, use wordpress.com or blogspot.com
But if you are serious about your blog, get a domain and a cheap hosting to start off. Then gradually rise..

You see when you use free stuff you are a loser in all point of view:
    1) You loose the link juice or PR of the "free" domain which is not yours
    2) You lose your posts
    3) You wasted your time and energy
    4) and so many many other deep reasons

    Wish you all the best!

i used wordpress.com but i was limited with what i can do with it. i also have a blogspot account but i just liked wordpress better.
i was not ready to buy a domain/hosting yet (my blog is only 4-5 months old) so i tried free hosting since i don't know how serious i will get with blogging....oh well, at least now i know that i am serious with it.
      mistakes made, lessons learned.
thanks but can you suggest cheap hosting i can start with?

Yep this is what happens when people free host. Your provider either failed to pay their bill or got their account banned. Did you backup your database? Have you exported your posts? If not you have probably lost all your content. You may well be able to find some of it on the wayback machine, but don't count on it.
    1. choconoodle
i only have a backup of some posts (like a month of posts) and that's it. yeah i sure learned a lot from this experience.

I know this site, I got many blog before for testing purposes.
sometime back they change the subdomain name to .....ismywi.com and then it goes off.
    1. choconoodle
weblogian! you are the one who told me to try them, i remembered when you commented on my blog design (on one of your discussions). oh well, i know you didn't mean any harm

I have both wordpres.com and blogger.com blog for my top post though I have my own hosted domain.

I disable these two blog for search engine and make it private. This is good is you can spare some of your time.

      ## I have many problem with my current host, I am trying to host my domain again form the list wordpress.org suggest. wordpress.org/hosting/

Here, look through this google search, and find things that look like your blog posts, then click on CACHED to see what has been stored by Google.

    www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fpinkfever.ismywebsite.com%2F&btn...

    Or look here:

    1. choconoodle
thanks anok, but i seem to get the 403 forbidden stuff. oh well, i think i have a backup of the posts indexed by google, the newer posts that i have no backup are still not indexed.

Blogger is the best place to put a blog on. Google you can probably count on to be sturdy.
    1. choconoodle
yep i have a blog with blogger ( infifthgear.blogspot.com ), and i think i would concentrate on that blog instead. *sigh*

    choconoodle,
For really good and reliable hosting try this and you can make a lot of extra money for yourself. They even give you a free trial. I use them and have never had any problems.

I have found Wordpress to be the best for support issues.
    Hope this helps.

Spend the extra $4 a month to get a self-hosted blog.. I talk about this at length in my ebook at www.fourthfloormarketing.com

All bloggers should at least have a backup of all their posts....
    1. mgco
any tools (online or otherwise) that you use to backup blog content?
  12. werelax
From your hosting site "Check back November 18th and everything should be fully online and ready."
    1. choconoodle
well, i think that's great news from them (at least). good to know i can access their site now.
i can't believe how patient i am these days....
  13. webhostingreviews
Yea but that is after the post in their forum where the webmaster says he is sorry that he does not have any backups.
I have a place that you can rate your web hosting company on my site if you are interested.

    www.webhosting4reviews.com/review-your-web-hosting/

A review that others may find online may help other people in the future when they are deciding where to host their blog.

    Hello choconoodle,

I Suggest you with 1dollarwebhosting, Cheap...but good in service,
    Just give it to try.

btw, have you backup up your contents regularly ?
    1. choconoodle
thanks, i already checked the host provider and i would add it on my list of options.

and no, i don't backup regularly, just when i try to redesign my blog.
(i know, total noob) well, i learned a lot from what happened. thanks!

Mine was frozen once, their robot thought I as a robot, but I responded so they knew then I was a real person and so they gave it back, nothing was lost

i suggest you wait for the ransom note and then email nancy grace with your story, including pictures of your blog when it was a kid and then pictures of what it might look like now.

    shes good at this stuff.
    1. Arcticulates
      good idea!!!!

Why didn't I think of that!
    2. cranelegs
      no prob! you'll find that's what i'm here for ... you know ... it's a gift really.
    3. choconoodle
nice idea but...that's blog-napping and being blog-napped you were referring to right?

Hello. If you still do not know how serious you are going to be and are not so interested in the relevance of the extensions, .com, .net. Check out this site as you can have up to two domains for free. They offer free domains and access to DNS records. You can therefore choose a domain name of your own and point to say blogger.com and have your own custom domain.

The site is: www.co.cc It is pretty reliable as it has been there for a while. I myself have two free domains.

BACKUP is important and this is just one example of how things can unfortunately go down the drain.

My last post on my blog actually mentions the importance of this. Check it out:
