So seaweed, well if that's what floats your boat.

We eat seaweed here too. it is a Filipino delicacy so to speak. Seaweed salad is delicious. In Irish seaweed is called "Dulaman."

here we call it "Gulaman" I can see a bit of connection there.

U know what's really good. get a good vidalia onion, with a little oliveoil, cook the onion until almost caramelized,oh ad some garlic to it to. Then throw baby spinach in an let it wilt, then add some parmasion cheeze! Stir it in its very yummy. We had that last night w/our bbq

All the power to you Guitar! Absolutely no way I could even contemplate that dietary lifestyle. I am a meatetarian ... it's a personal choice.
    1. acousticguitarist
i can change my diet from healthy to unhealthy at any moment without even worrying... although I wouldn't mind a cake at the moment
    2. Rory
LOL ... I, unfortunately, can't have cake at the moment. Well, I could, but that would effectively be my "allotment" for all of my dinner. Ugh.

      Dieting sucks.

what made you think to change your diet?
    1. acousticguitarist

    2. deejames

I was on a brown rice diet for quite awhile. Lots of tofu and spinach salad, too.

Now I eat mostly whole grain cereals, pasta, almond butter, apples, raw carrots, bananas, salads, and I drink lots of water. This diet works really well for me. No meat, but I do eat shrimp occasionally.
    1. acousticguitarist
i think it's great to be able to control food instead of the other way around. Never eaten shrimp or ever shall

Ugh! Brown rice makes me gag.

To be fair, most cereals do the same. I would lose a lot of weight on your new diet...but it would be more properly called fasting than dieting.
    1. acousticguitarist
i love it, but I'll eat any natural foods apart from lychees
    2. SweetViolet
oooooo! We spell it litchi here in SA and I LOVE them! I love most fruits, though and would rather eat fruits than sweets or pastries.

I can eat things made from cereals like bran muffins and such, but to just sit down and eat a bowl of cereal...something in the smell of cereal just turns my stomach...quite literally. Brown rice has that same smell and I just cannot put it in my mouth without my stomach rebelling.

My husband is diabetic and we are limited to basmati rice for that reason...I can do basmati rice just fine.

I'm stickin' with dead animals, though brown rice makes a nice side dish.

    Congrats...

Edamame beans also worth a go!

Oh, I forgot to add I worked in a natural food collective for several years, so had broad exposure to a wide variety of organically grown foods. I've never been a compulsive eater, have always had a bird's appetite, and been very conscious about what I eat.
