Topics: im not a spammer
I'm a little disappointed as I have a lot of integrity and most people that visit here regularly know that I contribute and encourage others and do my best to make people laugh.
I went to send Jeff a message to tell him about the joke I was having with google and he's blocked me as a spammer.
It was a joke as I get virtually no guitar related traffic from Blogcatalog, most of my stuff comes from elsewwhere.

It's great isn't it. I have a recent Shakti DVD, I liked his work with Shakti in the 70's, saw him live. Scarry guitar player.
My guitar teacher and friend (Ike Isaacs) apparantly taught him early in McLaughlins career, although Ike denies any contribution to his development I think Ike was being humble. A great player, he also taught Martin Taylor

I don't know who jeff is but you can spam me any day
Disclaimer: this statement is meant to be interpreted figuratively. -
come on, I've been on this board a combined seventeen minutes since last week, and I KNOW you're not a spammer... yeesh.
Hey, so I have a question. What is a spammer?
(j/k, that wasn't a real question, strictly for comic relief...)-
Oh I'm in trouble here.
There are a lot of women out there that prefer men that are 'thinking' about their development, they don't visit pubs etc.
Health food stores are good, new age workshops, Guru Joe Bloggs comes to town seminar, the 'I think I'm from Pleidies' Society... the list is long.
It's a variation on niche marketing, no competition.
But hey, I'd love to see a video on how to do all the wrong things'

I guess, a person that has no integrity, is prepared to put themselves first and have no respect for others space and bombard them with information that is irrelevant. They do not build a relationship at all and only use 'push' marketing.
So for me to be called a spammer is a bit offensive. My sites have the best possible content and I give the stuff freely-
Coincidentally the Planet Earth Peace Party has written a post that has nothing to do with this particular discussion...

Hi PetLvr.
Simply. I found out that one of my posts had had over 1000 views and I got rally excited about it. So I posted mad post to the discussions because I thought it was a funny way to celebrate. The traffic had come straight of google and will probably continue. In the poat the guy referred to my post as a spam thread, which it was not because I don't consider traffic from BC as anything more than social traffic by friends here. I then went to his shoutbox to explain the joke that I was having and he'd blocked me as a spammer. In an effort to explain myself and try and catch his eye I posted to the boards but he'd disappeared. Nothing serious really I guess but panda's do not spam

A friend of mine has a blog with a bunch of youtube stuff on it too. Gets tons of hits because of it. It's not original material but people go to his site anyway.

Well, personally I never see the need for people to take it 'privately' to the shoutbox for something they can't discuss out in the open, so he has the right to block your comments and keep his shoutbox clean i.m.h.o. I've done that a few times myself.
Although....

I'm just saying that my friend has a site with youtube videos all over it, with some text references what the videos are (so there are major keywords there) and he gets hits based on those keywords, as can be seen through sitemeter for example.
So grabbing a bunch of material that people are looking for anyway, and which he didn't create, he's getting hits.
His other blog, with original material gets fewer hits, even though it's linked to the youtube collection blog. I find his original blog more interesting.

Or grab some youtube vids that don't work!
OK, enough of this spam thread.

I thought your thread and a few answers (especially @timethief) were funny .. not spam! I guess jefftomkins71 thought otherwise. -
thanks ...yeah I shouldn't take stuff personally, I'm going through a shake up at the moment, am packing up my house and getting closer to moving to a new life.
True he has a right. But he said it was spam and it is my right to respond as I notice he had dis appeared. Someone else may come along latr and say it was spam also and then I have a reputation as a spammer. To send a one line message to someone to clarify something seems reasonably valid to me. Thanks for your comments.
I thought it was starting to get funny and I was ready to really go for it
Cheers Tony

Why would you start a thread like this? I don't get it. If you're using the guys real name, I don't think that's right, he has the right to block who ever he wants. I'm starting to think you are a tad sensitive.
