I saw the movie Julie & Julia this weekend. It was AWESOME and had a lot to do with blogging.

In the parts where her blog seems to be the centre of her universe, I started wondering if we take this stuff too seriously? I was thinking of myself a few weeks ago when I lost my Jamaica blog for 1.5 weeks. I cried REAL TEARS!!!! And I'm still pissed that even though I've recovered my blog, I'm still missing 13 posts!

Is it pathetic that we take our blogs so seriously or personally?

I think that it's completely reasonable to be upset when you lose something on which you've worked hard. I don't understand people's obsession with traffic and "strategies" because I'm not blogging to make money, I'm doing it for my own entertainment (and to keep reminders about songs that I don't want to forget). If you see blogging as your job then I would expect you to take it very seriously. If the character does not, then either she had other issues or it wasn't a realistic portrayal.

Yah and for me, I was so upset because my blog is personal and its my heart and soul!!! I love the country I travel to and absolutely love writing about my experiences there.
