    Kill Twitter or Kill Facebook?

Ummmm ... I would vote in favor of killing threads that propose questions like this one, because IMHO apples and oranges comparisons and votes are silly.

I deleted my Facebook account long ago and if twitter disappeared I would NOT cry a river.

Twitter. Twitter's symbol is a bird, but Facebook's symbol is a face. Most of us would shoot a bird before someone's face.

      That made me LOL!
    2. iratedog
LOL! Good logic I like it

I agree! I think all the shortcuts used in it are hard to understand anyway!

kill myspace - does anyone even use that anymore? It just always seemed like such a spammy place.

Why don't we just line up Twitter, Myspace and Facebook and shoot them all execution-style?
  16. Tiger33
kill Twitter (dont see the need for it given the apps for facebook which pretty much allow facebook to work like twitter!)

Myspace should focus on bands (which i believe they are starting to do given their recent purchases)

Facebook is fine i guess - i personally dont like it though!
  17. wehireu
    Facebook hands down.
  18. strikerjem
both are useful in different ways, spare them from execution hahahaha

Twitter...c'mon, 2 people following each other are only going in circles. They're going nowhere.

I don`t want to contradict anyone, but when I see one of those on the 3st place and the other, more young, in the 14th place (from this world) in Alexa I try to find a solution to obtain an opportunity from these two programs.

I don`t have a passion for Social Networks, not at all; when I started for the first time in Twitter I must admit that my first impression was as it`s seems to be a stupid program...

But I tried to understand why all top marketers use and recommend it... "You have to learn the rules of the game. And then, you have to play better than anyone else" - wroted Albert Einstein. I don`t play better... But understanding and learnings are important processes.

You can obtain some results without using these programs, indeed. But a pro, who stress the importance of apparently small things - how could it be an arrow to the subscribtion button of the capture email in a landing page or blog - for sure he will never miss such an opportunity to obtain maximum results.

To answer to the subject of this discussion, even if Facebook offer much more on site, I think as Twitter it`s integrated on a large area and anyone can obtain a better exposure with it.

Kill them both! Right now. But like someone menton before: the liberty to ignore is a pretty good one.
I just don't understand these way of communication... with friends. At least, here, we connect or interact with people we don't know.
I'm with HatingTheRain... like the idea!
  23. radu
    facebook
  24. owlbarn
Oh no, don't kill twitter. It's just a little bird.
    1. Theresa111
      Aw, that was really tweet!
  25. runningshoes
Dont like it dont use it. Its. That. Simple.
  26. NatetheGrate
I use them both but I don't care.
  27. liggybee
Funny, I use my Facebook to connect to my family here and abroad, as well as keep in touch with my high school classmates from oodles ago. It's mostly private and more personal than all those other sites like Twitter (which I don't use) and MySpace. So my vote would be to keep FB.

How to kill two birds with one stone?
