It depends.
If I'm lazy and not getting out of my jammies - NOPE...
If I am dressed - and taking a shower - yeah - I wear makeup.
I WEAR A LOT OF MAKEUP TOO!
Not like cake it on - clown... (ok - when I go to band - yeah - I clown cake my makeup.... LOL!)
BUT - just at home - I put cream, blush minerals, eyeliner and mascara - and some sort of glossy lip stuff or carmex or something.
Sorry - but I was a model when I was younger - and I just learned as a habit that part of getting up and getting dressed means you wear a little color on your face...
Besides - I really prefer my face with makeup --- Not that I'm ugly or anything naturally - but I just prefer a light touch of something on.
If I'm out camping tho - forget it - won't touch the stuff - cause I could care less who sees me at that point. LOL!
Not even me. -

The view point of make up is so lop-sided. I mean men wear cologne, chains, watches, expensive sneakers, earrings....they soup up their cars and spent thousands of dollars on that. Both genders do things that may be unneccesary from an outside perspective or even seem like it comes from a place of insecurity, but it's what makes people happy..and as long as it's done tastefully, then who cares. I think it's hilarious how many men praise women they think are going bare, but who actually have on like foundation and tinted gloss...

@Chiky... I agree, some women go way too far. It also comes from their mothers who were so afraid of make up that they never thaught their daughters how to apply it. If a girl shows interest in make up and she's at an approprate age, take her to a department store counter and show her how to apply it tastfully...save her years of embarrassment!

I was comparing the two because while you can say make up is just "goo" I could say the same of things men do to "make themselves look better". A lot of make up is beneficial to skin, creates a protective barrier between the sun and improves tone. This isn't 1950, make up is more than "goo" these days.

Oh ok... I give in.
It's your faces, your choice. Here's why I said what I said. There are so many beautiful women that look just fine without make-up and I'm always shocked how much make-up women wear. Over the years I've been out with so few women that wear make-up. It's hot where I live and it looks just so uncomfortable. When it's 90 degrees F, I'm sure it would feel weird. -
I think your confusing women who wear make up and women who know how to wear make up. If it's breezy, not excessive, complimentary and of quality, then make up is nice, effective, attractive and so not uncomfortbale. Women who go to Walgreens and buy 99cent Wet n' Wild mascara, then rub the sweat around their eyes with their palm and smile at you are not an example of a woman who knows how to wear make up.

Hardly. However, I've recently been in contact with some great women on You Tube who do make-up application tutorials. I must admit, some of their tips and tricks have really helped me with application and it's been fun to play 'dress-up' trying on new looks which I've never thought of before. Now, I am trying on different make-up looks during the day to practice with professional eyeshadow brushes instead of the included sponge applicators. I feel it really does make a difference. However, I spend most of my days and most of my errands makeup free.

I very rarely wear makeup. I can't stand the way it feels on my face, especially when it's hot outside. I feel like my face is melting.

I wear bare minimum make up anyway....and particularly if I'm at home I tend to forgo it altogether. When I'm working (inside or outside) I have a tendency to touch my face, or rub my eyes. WHen I'm wearing makeup that can turn out...not so good, and I wind up having to rinse my eyes with clear water because I forgot I was wearing mascara LOL.
So otherwise, not so much. It isn't practical for me, and in my line of work, a made up lady isn't expected and sometimes not even accepted. -
Nope, I can't be bothered.
I made the effort to dress up when I went out the other night and my husband turned to me and said "I hate it when you wear makeup, you don't look like you" and thus my laziness has now been validated

I don't wear make-up unless I am going out to a party or something. Odd, when I do stay home I will put on some type of fragrance.
