Ladies how do you like to see men dress, and what don't you like?

Men, how do you like to see women dress, and what don't you like?

I know one thing that I do not like is men with pants below there knees. I don't like those saggy pants.

every time i see them with the saggy pants i want to go over and pull them up. but i do like it when they are just in there regulare close being them selfs.
    1. deoangel
I want to pull them up too. I don't know what it is with that style. I just don't get it.
    2. crazyTsu
As one guy put it : you can't stop me from showing off the only thing i got: bum!
  2. xyzstyle
I like men who dress cleanly and nicely, but not boring-ly. But also not so interesting that it's pushing immature and childish--think hipster baristas. I don't think men should wear suits all day but I think they should wear something that make look as fresh as they would look in a suit.

I look at his shirt first If its fit or look nice to him, and then look at his Face

i don't really care as long as you don't smell, your hair is combed, and your clothes subtly reflect a clean, chic, and cosmopolitan style (in other words, no crazy colors, no strange patterns, no oddly hanging key chain, etc.).

    more:

*i hate when people walk around in their sweatpants (to/at/from the gym is an exception).

*i think baseball caps are horrendous.

*wearing too much jewelry, no matter how expensive, is tacky and gaudy.

*guys who wear thick gold chains should be immediately airlifted to some unknown, uninhabited island, and given only rations of common sense and big slaps on the face (and a kick in the groin if he has a piece of "bling" attached to his chain).

*mismatched socks are not cool after the age of 10.

*if you carry a cellphone clipped to your belt, you should be verbally harassed.

*i'm of the general and very conservative opinion that miniskirts are worn only by skanks.

*if you're still wearing aviator sunglasses and your collar is still popped up, god help you.

Now now... my Treo is clipped to my belt. But that's because I don't want to walk off and leave $400 in a theater seat or McDonalds by accident. But on my days off, I leave treo at home.

But do guys really wear mismatched socks? That would scream "lumberjack" to me if I were a female.

I think a man can look good with anything he wears, as long as he is clean and pressed.
Doesn’t matter if the clothes are old or worn out. Or out of style or even saggy. Well….as long as they are not down to his knees that is.
For me, as long as they are over 35, and smell and look clean, they have my attention. LoL

And I say that b/c I some times have seen a “good looking man” who is dressed in very expensive clothes and shoes that I am sure cost at least $500.00, and they are a turn off b/c you can tell they haven’t showered in days. Thats a huge no no in my book.
  6. SweetViolet
    Crisply clean.
  7. VisInVox
Affliction shirts are a big RED FLAG.
WTF are you afflicted with? Nothing.
Same with Ed Hardy. Get a tattoo, don't wear it on your shirt.

Just look pressed and clean, not like you picked the clothes up off the floor, smelled them and put them on. Men who look like they take themselves seriously, but without that air of egoism. That's all it takes really. Brands don't faze me. You can shop at Target and still look like you could be the CEO of GE. Just be clean and carry yourself well. Simple enough.
  8. Anok
    Simple.

Jeans, white fitted Tee or A-line tank, boots.

    That's about it.

And if the man is really really goodlooking, just the boots.
    1. noetic
      what kind of boots?
    2. crpitt
No tanks in the UK! that would not go down well, unless they were diet coke like
    3. Anok
Combat boots, with lots of scuffs ans scrapes of course.

Claire, I was thinking about my hubby when I said the tank. He's got aaabbabababababbbbbsssss and great shoulders.

Whoo! I need a cold shower....
  9. MissSuzie
I don't have a preference as to what a man wears -- I'm more concerned with how he acts. I will say, I do not like an overly hairy face (trim those beards guys).
    1. aningeniousname
So what your saying is that if you want a bush on his face you will put it there yourself?
    2. MissSuzie
Exactly! You are indeed one smart aardvark.
  10. nothingprofound
Any kind of dress is fine, except a a straitjacket or a winding sheet.
  11. faithsju243
Pulled together and clean. Nothing overly tight or overly baggy. I am a jean and t-shirt kinda girl but there is something very sexy about a man who can pull off a suit.
  12. WillIAm2009
Men looks best suited and booted
Ladies look best when there not trying to get attention
    Well thats my thoughts anyways
    1. crazyTsu
      their attention = our competition

There's a guilty pleasure gawking them though
  13. nothingprofound
Anything that doesn't stink too much from the pile on the floor.
  14. legbamel
Appropriately. I don't really fuss much about the actual clothes (although I hate the baggy, droopy jeans, too), but I hate it when people are over- or under-dressed for where they are. If you're going out to eat in your sweats, you'd better be going to Taco Bell.
  15. dbowles1017
I always (yes always) wear a white tee shirt, and either athletic shorts, jeans or khaki shorts, with either my reef's or puma's.

Ladies- Sweat pants, and jeans. But I prefer them to no wear anything at all.
    1. WillIAm2009
You want to see all women naked?
      Every single one of them?
    2. dbowles1017
Not all but, I'd say at least 70%
    3. WillIAm2009
hahah because there are some women i wouldnt like to see starkers!
    4. noetic
why are you wearing a blue shirt in your photo? or is that not you?
    5. crpitt
Ha! well spotted, he has stolen that picture off google under 'drunk freshman'
    6. dbowles1017
All my white shirts were dirty (i'm assuming) and I don't even think I was drunk when that was taken... No wait I was.
  16. IntoTheAzureSea
I'll probably be the most boring man around since I like to wear black or dark colors all the time.
  17. maryse
I like guys who wear shirts.
    1. dbowles1017
      I've got a shirt
    2. IntoTheAzureSea
But almost every man would wear a shirt.
    3. maryse
      exactly.
    4. crazyTsu
well i dont.. I am a bruce willis fan
    5. hatingtherain
I like guys who don't wear shirts.
    6. crazyTsu
      You a BW fan too?
  18. crpitt
    What to wear:
If you have nice legs, you can wear shorts.
Smart casual would be my preference.

    What not to wear:
Absolutely NO light blue denim if your wearing jeans or polo necks unless your milk tray man.
  19. JaydenVasara
i like to see a guy dress casual but stylish...no jeans from sears, no baggy shirts, no baseball caps. the armani exchange/guess style is my preferred look. but i also live in the city so that could have something to do w/it.....
  20. BrazenTeacher
It's all about the body and personality under the clothes... and pretty much anything looks good
  21. Avellar
Girls that dress clean, pants, skirts, dresses all work great.

Only two things I HATE seeing are girls that wear big fuzzy slippers everywhere and girls that wear clothing that is obviously too small for them
  22. Anok
    I forgot - I do love a man in a kilt. RAWR.
  23. Epicharis
I like people to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Provided they aren't crotchless trousers or Nazi uniforms etc. they can wear whatever they like!
    1. Anok
I can think of a few people who could wear crotchless trousers around me.

I mean, Hmm? what are "crotchless trousers"? And while you're at it, what are "edible panties"?

      /runs away
    2. Epicharis
      naughty...
    3. crazyTsu
      ROFLMAO.. good one

BTW someone here likes nazi uniforms?
  24. MADDSWAGG
People always think im weird for saying this but I love those guys that dress all preppy. Like with the argyle sweaters and stuff
  25. LaurenM622
i'm all about the "slim cut" ...NOT skinny jeans, but slim fitting pants & tops. nothing is worse than extra-baggy clothes. except, of course, tank tops. which should be banned from men's wardrobes. i feel very strongly about that.
    1. MrPoo
Hmmm... tank tops. Then I´m out of the race
  26. HollytheHousewife
I like em to dress clean cut but not look so clean you know.
    1. MrPoo
      Like me?
  27. HollytheHousewife
Oh and they HAVE to smell good....I recomend pour homme' le' duessy

It is best smell ever on a man
  28. crazyTsu
I like the smell of sweat on me
  29. HollytheHousewife
    Well I don't
Um since ur not gonna go check ur soutbox anytime soon....I gotta go get my beauty rest, otherwise I will be ill in the morning......so sweet dreams
  30. sorcerer
    umm...like to see them (un)dress.
    the more accessories the better.
Iam a simple man you see
  31. vampiretarget
I Love to see women is Sari (Indian Dress).
  32. ToughCookieMommy
I agree with Holly, smelling good is a must.
    1. deoangel
      Definitely!
    2. lotusb
      Smelling good?

Ladies- I think when we start to prioritize no-brainers, we're lowering our standards already. A man should smell good...that shouldn't even be on the preference list.
    3. ToughCookieMommy
Lotus, obviously smelling good is not on the top of the list. This thread is about how we would like our men to dress or look. Lighten up, of course we want them to have jobs, respect us, support us, etc.
    4. lotusb
I love it when people tell me to "lighten up".

      I was being SAR-CAS-TIC....

      YOU lighten up, Precious!
  33. amybyrd21
nice pants that show that he has a butt but not to tight. A nice button down shirt and a good after shave. Oh an actual boots or shoes. not sandals or long socks
  34. trailofpen
I like when women wear their birthday suits. It's classy and original.
  35. lotusb
I prefer a man who expresses himself a little with his clothes. Nothing too extreme, just not the typical polo and jeans combo. I like a man with a little bit of lead-guitar in his look, sort of grunge meets Brooklyn. Guys who aren't afraid to wear hats (not baseball caps) and a tie with jeans.
  36. dexed
No one here is mentioning a cape, dont y'all like superman. LMAO!
  37. shade2009
Neat crisp clean I am not particularly crazy about men in suits .... Love a nice aftershave to top it up.
  38. Haste
I'm over here taking notes ladies
  39. acousticguitarist
    this post is so funny
  40. acousticguitarist
I'm getting one of those outfits on the right

  41. hatingtherain
I was looking for a hot guy picture to post for reference, and I googled "sexy man" in images.

Please, ladies, DON'T EVER do that. Ever. I may need to burn out my eyes. I don't think I will ever erase THAT from my mind....
    1. DeadRooster
You should have googled: Incredibly Hot Men
  42. Sebastyne
I like jeans that "package things nicely" if you know what I mean, girls... And show off the butt side too. That is well fitted jeans, that are not either tight or loose. Those combined with a shirt that doesn't compromise the package, can't really describe them, as I'm not too picky about them.
  43. curlydesigh
I like to see men dress for the occasion but always neatly. The men that catch my eye are men that can rock some jeans and timbs and also be at home in a suit.
  44. calais50
I don't like to see men wear jeans. I don't like seeing men in any sort of jewelry or looking like they spent too much time getting ready.

I know a 21 year old guy who is into the skinny jeans/artistic look and although he is a VERY popular guy with the ladies, if I didn't know him, I would think he was gay. Everything about his look is gay. Metrosexual look, I guess? I can't keep up with all of the new styles.
  45. crazyTsu
With their eyes, thats my guess!
  46. Theresa111
Jeans and white V-neck T-shirt. Or evening attire.
