Well, this is it! The last night my kids will be in the projects. I can't say it's been fun. I've experienced, with a baby in my arms, pepper spray, a police raid, sexual acts outside our apartment door, crazy people screaming they're proud to be a crack head and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Tonight we unhook the computer and wait to get internet service. Our address isn't listed in the system yet so it could take a while.
When I get back online I'll be posting current pics of our house. Here's a recent one

See ya guys later! Oh and WOO-HOO!

Hopefully it's your last night, last day, and last minute there. I would move everything out ASAP and never come back. I'm a big believer in someone jinxing themselves by pointing out special days because something bad always seems to happen, whether it's because a change from normal behavior or a lapse in concentration due to over elation. Try to keep things normal until everything is done and then go bonkers. Pray for no accidents and no self-jinxing. Good luck and congrats.

I'm so happy for you and for your family, Shirley. It will be great to make it really your own. (And to be surrounded by *sanity*.)
(hugs) - MidwestMom-
My daughter's room will be painted pink and I am sponging purple over that.I am using acrylics to paint butterflies on the wall. I purchased a shelf w/ dragonflies and butterflies. Her curtains are dragonflies and butterflies with glitter.
The boys have a glow in the dark rug that's outer space. I am going to paint one wall w/ chalkboard paint and the rest will be dark blue. They get glow in the dark stars for the wall and we will be adding a solar system to the ceiling. Their curtains are planets.
Mine and my husband's room has laminate flooring, red satin curtains with a yellow drape. I want to look like something you would find in India.
the dining, kitchen, and living room has a country theme with maroon curtains.
It pays to be crafty too. We spent $36 making curtains. We didn't purchase them just the fabric.

It's wonderful news and a wonderful new life for all of you! Especially your kiddos, now they can play outside and you can feel safe about it! -
If this were a tragic movie, something terrible would happen before you got out...
good thing it isn't
