I read on the papers today that the drywall made in China during the construction of homes contain high levels of sulfur and may emit sulfur-based gases.

Then when I went online to browse. Apparently, it is not a scandal; it is true.

Wow, have YOU been under a rock. Our state's already working with FEMA to try to rectify the situation (the Hurricane Katrina nightmares never end.)

One of papers, epochtimes, published this only recently and as you might see on the url posted above, the article was published on 21 April 2009.

Perhaps, but it's been in the news for about a month already around here. It might have to do with the climate. I know humidity's a main cause of the problem (which is why it was discovered in Florida & why people in Louisiana are also having trouble.) So maybe that's why we've known about this for a while now.

It is worse in the developing countries in the tropics. When we lived overseas in Indonesia, the houses have the same foul smell they described....we get sick so often. But everyone keeps blaming it on the pollution.
