    From the OP ... "so post a link to your blog's BlogCatalog profile ..."

    Every BC username link is a link to the member's BC profile page. Click my username link and you will find the links to my blogs on my BC profile page. If I post the links here I will be breaking the no link drop rule found in the sticky post titled Read Before Posting at the head of the forum.

    Worse still, if I break the rule and link drop I will be screwing myself out of the BC blog rank statistics that result only when members click my username and then my blog urls on my BC Profile page.

    Why is that important? Because the BC blog rank my blogs have determine their position in the BC Directory and on the BC tags pages.

    A shameless blog promotion thread is a thread with enough information to hook someone and make them want to read further, and has the added advantage of not getting lost in a long thread of other blogs and descriptions. It is probably one of the two most effective things a blogger can do to promote their own blog at Blog Catalog.
    (a) What do you blog about?
    (b) What is your primary reason for establishing and maintaining your blog? And, what are your goals for your blog?
    (c) What makes your blog unique from other blogs in your niche?
    (d) WIIFM? (What’s in it for me?) Why should I visit your blog?

      What's fascinating is watching how many continue to link drop. Either they haven't read what I posted or they don't believe what I posted is the truth. And, I do assure you that it is.

      Look at the date stamps on biknihotline's comments above again please because you made a mistake. She made the first comment with the link drop in it 2 days ago. The she returned 1 day ago, thanked me for my explanation and expressed her regret for the previous day's link drop.
