      actually, no. bumping your own thread is considered rude in most online communities.
      
      shameless is promoting your blog or, as you do here, a cause. that's great. you should, of course, try to make it more of a discussion and less of a "hey come read my blog" - but i think that you're trying to garner comments for a cause, it's a bit different. shades of grey, and all that.
      
      however, just bumping the thread every 30 minutes or so? rude.

      you'll get used to the online forums - takes a while. a lot of times, you'll actually do yourself a favour by saying "i'm new here, and i hope this is how things are done." and, of course, there's always *my* favourite method (INTJ that i am) of lurking for days before posting.
      
      and ack - you read enough of my blog to get that! tenacious reader, you are!

   Perils of the profession ender. I plan to read some more. In fact I watched a show on discovery that was eerily similar to what you experienced, but the person was not a teacher.
   
   Yeah I started this thing in Feb 08 not too great at the self promotion and marketing either.

    Ah environmental activist. Guatemala. Barely skimmed the border when I visited Belize once. Amazed at respect for trees shown in Belize compared to where I come from. Population very small though.

       I was unsure what to think of the exchange since it seemed a little tense in here. I thought maybe I missed something and decided to come back later.
       
       To all mothers - Happy Mother's Day on May 11th.
       
       About the name, I came up with that when I'd argue about politics online. Anyone who agreed with me would often times mention something along the lines of, "I agree with TheMrs in that... blah blah blah..."
       
       Regardless, have a good stay here at BC.
