I certainly don't consider me being a "HAVE" person, unless you mean that I 'have' a lot of stress, debt, workload, feelings, body parts, etc ... however, based on other threads that people are discussing .. it's obvious that us "HAVE"s do not really understand the issues of the "HAVE NOT"s ..

So - I have researched this for a great deal of time (25 seconds) and come up with these simple rules - so we know how to better communicate with each other.

~~~~~~~~~~~
- People who steal from their employers should be allowed to be bonded and insured
- Drunk drivers shouldn't have to loose their driver license for drinking
- Lazy workers should not be allowed to be fired
- It's okay to use other people's ideas and content and claim it on your own if you do not have any content or unable to create it yourself
- Children should be given everything so they don't have to worry about high expectations when they grow up
- People who spend too much money should be given more money to spend it on what they should have spent it on in the first place
- Poor people should not only have it all, but have it delivered to their front door as well.
- Everybody should get a hefty income tax refund - especially those who don't pay income taxes
- Special interests of the minority have to be above the interests of the majority
- Viscious dogs (and dangerous looking dogs) should be put to death, not the owners who train them or have to be regulated and such
- The unemployed and homeless should be allowed to live in foreclosed homes for free - there's a lot of them around
- The Have-Nots have an opinion too .. just because yours is wrong you shouldn't insult their intelligence (or as Rush Limbaugh would say: "Bigot - A person who wins an argument with a liberal")
- People who do not have good credit and never pay the credit card companies should not be considered a bad credit risk
~~~~~~~

Did I miss any more rules?

    Yeah you did
    a-holes should be allowed to post things that insult the have nots.
    1. rfburnhertz
      I could easily be considered a have not, I some how do not feel insulted and find a good amount of my fellow 'have-nots' to be be very capable of being A-holes themselves.

      I'm pretty sure A-holiness transcends the lines between haves and have nots.
  2. cookingasshole
    poor people suck
  3. Rozie818
    That is a pretty stupid comment
    CAH, but what else is expected from someone who call themselves a asshole.
    1. cookingasshole
      it was meant to be sarcastic...I am surprised you did not pick up on that.
  4. Rivy
    It takes time to be spontaneous. Otherwise I would add something here.
  5. Floormodel
    I must be living the wrong life.
  6. Epicharis
    petlvr, your sense of humour is broken, I suggest you get it fixed as soon as possible.
    1. Agit8r
      Appearently the "Haves" sold their senses of humor along with their souls
    2. cookingasshole
      don't be jealous of his mad cash flow!
    3. Agit8r
      "flow"... as in the much lusted after "liquid assets"?
    4. SweetViolet
      Epi---agreed!

      I would prefer to think this is the result of a broken sense of humour rather than a heretofore unnoticed serious character flaw.
    5. rfburnhertz
      I thought it was fairly funny and made a great point.
    6. rfburnhertz
      How is it that 'having' is indication of a person having sold their soul?

      Was that sarcasm and I missed it?
    7. Agit8r
      Uncle Tom!

      seriously though, i was just repaying a broad generalization with a broad generalization in return
  7. SweetViolet
    Apparently a very important rule for the have-nots was overlooked in the compilation of this list...

    --Have-nots shall pay for access to any opportunity that might lead to changing their status to "haves." We can't make it easy for them to uplift themselves with equal access to jobs and other betterment opportunities, otherwise they might join the ranks of the "haves" and destroy the elitism of being one.

    And that, folks, is what this "haves vs have-nots" wrangle is really about, not some lame red-herring attempt at humour: a proposal that people who cannot afford to subscribe to BC be prohibited access to a proposed BC job board purely because of their poverty.

      What a croc. "reported"/ for not contributing to this thread.
    2. SweetViolet
      I added a rule, just like you asked in the OP. How is that not contributing??

      Yer just sore because I saw through the subterfuge ("let's divert everybody's attention from my faux pas by trying to make it funny") and outed it.

      Did you report Epi who suggested that you get your sense of humour fixed? Or does that remark somehow "add to the discussion"?
    3. PetLvr
      There's no need to report Epi .. she just offered a suggestion - that's what community forums are for... It was a very constructive suggestion, that I am working on.

      Your comment, however was bitter, "know-it-all" righteous and you insulted me. I was very hurt by your comment.
    4. SweetViolet
      You cannot know what was in my head or my heart.

      I am big on truth...not very big on whitewashing and dissembling. The entire OP is mean-spirited and unfunny in the extreme...and a clear extension of the discussion regarding limiting access to the proposed job board to only those people who can afford to subscribe to the site. You even used the "haves" and "have-nots" terminology that originated with Shiley's broadcast which referenced that issue.

      If you are insulted by the truth, I cannot control that. You advanced an elitist idea that hurt Shiley very much and insulted a lot of other people who self-identify as "have nots." You compound it here with a lame attempt at humour, further insulting those who are hard-pressed by the current hard economy.

      It is making you look bad...honestly, I was seriously shocked by your proposal that the poor among us not be allowed an equal opportunity to job postings...I had seriously thought you more compassionate than that, given your love of animals. I was dismayed...and even a little hurt...to see you espousing such discrimination against those of us who are suffering from flat pockets.

      I cannot tell you what to do, but if I were you, at this point I would make a few apologies, give some thought to how to help people who need work, and ask for this entire thread to be deleted so it doesn't live on as a permanent embarrassment.
    5. rfburnhertz
      Equal access to jobs based on what?

      I can't speak for all portions of the world, but in America we mostly have equal access to jobs.

      Granted their are cases of cronyism to be sure, just look at any of the present and the previous three White House administrations.

      However, in the vast majority of cases the person that best fits the needs of whoever is providing the job, get's the job.

      I can go apply for any job in America, doesn't mean I will get the job but I have the same opportunity as any other American to make attempt to fill that position.

      What about staffing and hiring firms.
      Staffing firms charge an employer to bring employees to the company.
      If their fees are beyond what the business can pay, is that limiting access to employment?

      Hiring firms will find an individual employment for a fee, they likewise will not share their list or provide job leads to those who cannot or are unwilling to pay the fee.

      Is this limiting access or is it simply business?

      This whole conversation in that is being carried on in various threads boggles my mind.
  8. PetLvr
    Obviously you don't get it ...

    You advanced an elitist idea that hurt Shiley very much and insulted a lot of other people who self-identify

    shocked by your proposal that the poor among us not be allowed an equal opportunity to job postings..

    THESE ARE ALL LIES AND NOT WHAT I SAID - LEARN HOW TO READ AND GO AWAY. SHOO. VAMOOSE. Your comments are making you look uninformed and childish.

    // Reported again Leave my thread. Thanks.
    1. SweetViolet
      Are we allowed to own threads now? When did that happen? Sheesh, this living on the other side of the globe and being asleep when the US is active can create some annoying gaps in one's knowledge.

      Oh, and if you'll go to the "What happened to Shiley" discussion, you'll find I was not the only person who read it that way...nor was Shiley the only person insulted by it. Nor have you clarified what you meant (we all know what you said) to remove the impression that you advocate only those who can afford the subscription to BC should have access to a proposed job board.
    2. PetLvr
      Yes - it's very annoying for most of us when you come in the middle of the night, lack knowledge and make up things, and make false accusations and make blame on something that didn't happen because you are a Troll.

      TROLL. Go Away. Stop Making things up. Learn how to read. And leave
    3. rfburnhertz
      Still, in the three threads I can find related to PetLvr and what he said can I not find one sensible reason why it would be wrong for BC to allow access to a job board only for those who pay.

      Why is it wrong for BC to charge for a service provided?
  9. PetLvr
    Troll. Geesh //

    Sorry people for that unintrusive TROLL and trouble maker coming here.

    We can make have nots to get from their poor way of living.
    1. It has to be first and initial act on those.I think education is a must given fact.
    2.Make tradition worthy.It can direct and redirect a person always to good.
    3.Teach them the power of love and sacrifice from their childhood.
    4.Share and spread the stories of well qualified and successful men.
    5.Always believe in that mighty power,that controls,helps,denies,loves us.
    I hope this can help you being a portion of it.
    1. rfburnhertz
      I have no idea what you just said.

      What level of education?
      Is it a right of everyone to have a University level education?

      Is success impossible without a specific level of education?
      Is success a guarantee with a specific level of education?

      What tradition?
      There are untold numbers of traditions.
      Frankly many of the those traditions are destructive to individuals and societies.

      Define love and sacrifice in a universal way that all persons of all education levels and all traditions will embrace.

      Compile the list of those 'well qualified and successful men'.
      To many Lenin was a 'well qualified and successful man'.

      What mighty power are you speaking of?
      Is this power identifiable?

      I have what I suppose you could call a 'mighty power' in my life, but I suspect my mighty power and your mighty power are different as mine is not controlling.
  11. wagerwitch
    I think Hart was actually trying to be humorous.

    Sorry - but I kinda got that list.

    And I think this actually was a way of saying that people who do those types of things in the list - are bad people.

    And that is what is really happening in America:

    Explanation:

    People who steal from their employers should be allowed to be bonded and insured

    Because people who are bonded - are bonded so that in case they do steal - the item is replaced, etc. Bonding is an insurance that ASSUMES that something will be stolen - when in fact - STealing should NEVER be happening - so bonding shouldn't be happening either... But People are getting bonded - and they ARE stealing. Sad.

    - Drunk drivers shouldn't have to loose their driver license for drinking

    It's against the law to drink and drive. Drunk drivers are going to court and getting their license returned... I'm sorry - this is one that hits a nerve for me. They should lose their car, their job, their license and sit in jail for a year. I think drunk drivers are the only CRIMINALs who WILLINGLY and KNOWINGLY commit a crime - EVERY time they CHOOSE to get behind the wheel. Too many people get hurt because of drunk drivers.

    - Lazy workers should not be allowed to be fired

    Unions support lazy workers - when there are a ton of other people who are willing to DO the work they are getting paid for. Irritating - yes?

    - It's okay to use other people's ideas and content and claim it on your own if you do not have any content or unable to create it yourself

    A lot of people on the internet are stealing other people's works - and this STINKS to high heaven.

    - Children should be given everything so they don't have to worry about high expectations when they grow up

    Exactly - if you give a child EVERYTHING - then they will expect to keep on getting it - until they HATE you because you cannot keep giving it to them. Not all children mind you - but a lot of them.

    - People who spend too much money should be given more money to spend it on what they should have spent it on in the first place

    Precisely - credit is ruining everyone - and all those big businesses that just got bailed out. Sigh... Sad.

    - Poor people should not only have it all, but have it delivered to their front door as well.

    This is in reference to welfare checks being mailed - items delivered. It's in poor choice at the moment - but it is a touchy topic for some people.

    - Everybody should get a hefty income tax refund - especially those who don't pay income taxes

    You aren't kidding - seen a lot of people who don't bother to pay - or find a way to knock taxes down - and then want more back!

    - Special interests of the minority have to be above the interests of the majority

    It depends for me - on this one.

    - Viscious dogs (and dangerous looking dogs) should be put to death, not the owners who train them or have to be regulated and such

    Yeah - blame the dog... Sigh.

    - The unemployed and homeless should be allowed to live in foreclosed homes for free - there's a lot of them around

    - The Have-Nots have an opinion too .. just because yours is wrong you shouldn't insult their intelligence (or as Rush Limbaugh would say: "Bigot - A person who wins an argument with a liberal")

    This is kind of tongue in cheek - but seriously people are doing just that. THey are squatting. I think some of it is out of necessity. But otherwise... It's kinda sad right now - the state of the Finances for everyone.

    - The Have-Nots have an opinion too .. just because yours is wrong you shouldn't insult their intelligence (or as Rush Limbaugh would say: "Bigot - A person who wins an argument with a liberal")

    Uhm - I don't know about this one - this one is kinda mean... I dont' exactly get it - as I believe EVERYONE should be allowed their opinion.

    - People who do not have good credit and never pay the credit card companies should not be considered a bad credit risk

    True. But then I hate CC companies - they are like mafia.

    And I HAVE been in 2 situations which TRULY made me hate them. I was one of the first people done on identity theft when it first started happening. A company took a transaction - got the code for it - then allowed it to expire - retransacted it - for 10 TIMES - and Got the Approval codes - THEN - FORCED the transactions all at once - and then dissappeared.

    It's an old trick NOW - but back then - it was new - and I got skewered.

    I DID indeed purchase ONE item - so I couldn't prove that I hadn't made the TRANSACTIONS - however - I didn't do 10 thousand dollars worth of those transactions.

    Anyhow - taught me a lesson. PRE-PAID credit cards.

    It was a VERY expensive lesson - and to this day if I find out who did it - I will seriously make them regret it.

    But I paid it off... Had to - or lose EVERY bit of credit I had.

    So - there are definitely UNIQUE situations - and NOT everyone who has bad credit didn't pay or was irresponsible.

    SOMETIMES crap just happens.

    Over all - some of these were amusing.

    But Hart - especially in the light of the conversations - this was probably not the time to post this.

    Yanno?
