I have decided that if I eventually have to have a tombstone it will read:

    "THE PARTY'S OVER"
    1. AngieA
      Theresa,

Thats funny, I have always said that my tombstone would say,
      "See you at the top"!
Which means, yes I do believe there is life after dead and thats when the real party begins.
    2. Theresa111
Angie, I am in total agreement about spiritual life after this worldly experience. "The Party's Over," is the title to a Johnny Mathis song and I suppose it is more of a statement and for those left behind having to endure a funeral.
  2. janizarzagon
hahaha! thnx for the response. I hope I will hear from you again. have a nice day!
  3. MattSanti
Doesn't it seem kind of empty then if you were to believe that nothing existed after death? I mean then, what's the point to living (I'm not advocating suicide obviously).
    1. Theresa111
I only said the party's over. I don't know what we'll be allowed to do in the afterlife. They might not have parties at all.
    2. voodooKobra
Empty? Why, if this life is all we have, why not make the best of it?
    3. janizarzagon
I respect ur point of view.thnx a sharing.
    4. drjay1966
MattSanti, your logic is very strange. If only living for a little while is empty and pointless, wouldn't that make living forever infinitely empty and pointless? The way I see it, whether there's life after death or not, you've got to find meaning, love, and happiness here and now.
  4. raz4125
After watching nearly all the episodes of A Haunting, you just can't deny it.
    1. voodooKobra
I can deny that there is "life after death."

If string theory is correct, and our universe just exists as one universe among many... a wavelength, if you will, then I can conclude an unscientific but aspiritual explanation for ghosts:

There is no such thing as "point." Everything can get infinitesimally smaller, always more precise. It could then follow that our universe overlaps a VERY narrow range of wavelengths (think of the visible light spectrum), and occasionally the other quantum realities overlap into this universe. Since new universes are popping into existence, it's likely that there exists a universe VERY close to ours in which case the deceased is not dead.

This is speculation, of course; and just as likely to be proven as an afterlife (if not more).
    2. GFG
      Time is wraped...
    3. voodooKobra
I would also like to submit circumstantial evidence in favor of the quantum hypothesis: Why are there no so-called ghosts found that are more than 10,000 years old? (I don't even think there are any that are over 200 years old in most places.)
  5. janizarzagon
thank you for sharing ur views..I appreciate it.
    1. drjay1966
oh...okay...that's a little dog licking your nose, right?
  6. janizarzagon

    1. GFG
      ewww....
      is he a JRT?
  7. SweetViolet
If one MUST ascribe to an afterlife theory, then reincarnation makes the most sense to me.
  8. janizarzagon
thank you for ur response have a wonderful day!
  9. drjay1966
Overall, I'm much more concerned with life BEFORE death.
    1. AngieA
      Before death?
Ooh I can relate to that as well.
    2. acousticguitarist
      yes i'm with you there

  12. janizarzagon
really? do u know someone? I only seen on tv. I want to know in real life.
    1. AngieA
      janizarzagon,

Please explain, as I am not sure what you are asking with > I want to know in real life?
  13. janizarzagon
AngieA, I'm asking you if u know someone who has been in the situation of life after death? u said you can relate, right?!
    1. AngieA
Oh, I was responding to the one above me who stated they were more concern with life Before Death. Meaning, life is much harder. Dieing would be easy.
  14. janizarzagon
ahh!?Sorry, I mis interpreted it. well, u have a point on that. It's really hard to live. They said live ur life to the fullest. That's life, I guess..:-)
    1. AngieA
      n/p

Well, thats how it should be. We should all be grateful for each day.
Good or bad, its all about how one views it.
  15. janizarzagon
    yeah!i agree wd u!
  16. acousticguitarist
I go to Valhalla, sword at my side

    2. voodooKobra
Red panda vikings? That would be an interesting mix.
  18. janizarzagon
    oh?!that's cute..
  19. janizarzagon
    oh?!that's cute..
  20. calais50
I'm not so cocky as to think I know for sure, but no at this point I don't believe in life after death. Does that depress me? No, it's the natural way of the world for things to live and die. I'm happy to be alive. But when it's my turn to die, I don't think I'll feel too bad about it since everyone else has to die too.
  21. rockaclimba
I think there is much more to it as much we know. All civilizations had believed in it...be it HINDU, CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS and BUDDHIST...and we know very less about life itself. So, there are chances that life may exist in some more dimensions than we see and know.

FOR EXAMPLE: We had found water on MARS and had landed on MOON but we could not encode what sparrow is saying, we know PLANTS feel but we do not know how they communicate.
There is much about life which we do not know.
    1. voodooKobra
      Argument from ignorance?
  22. Achyut
Whether life exists after death, need not be our concern. Our concern should be - now when we are alive, are we really alive, are we joyous and peaceful....we should be grateful we got this life....who knows about after death. If there is something, enjoy that too and experience it to the fullest whatever it is!
  23. janizarzagon
wow!interesting to hear ur views!thnx 4 dropping by..
    1. voodooKobra
You sound confident. What is your reasoning?
  24. boytrotters
Life after death? Sure, why not?

Or, put another way, there is or isn't life after death, regardless of what we say or do. I guess we just have to wait and find out.
    1. boytrotters
What a cute cat. Or not.
  25. timethief
    @voodookobra
    Good one
    lol cat
  26. wehireu
I am not worried about it. I know that I have for the most part led a moral decent life so if there is something after death it doesn't bother me.
  27. janizarzagon
    that's a lovely cat!
    1. drjay1966
What happened to your little dog?

    wow!that's amazing..u have lots of profession..bravo!
    1. drjay1966
but very little money...obviously that's not the most important thing to me, though.
    2. boytrotters
It is to me! I grub for as much moolah as I can get, then I can just BUY me an afterlife. Heh heh...

The Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of the Buddha teach concerning the rebirth cycle for humans. Each spirit goes from birth to life to death and then back into the womb and live another life in a different body, although the same spirit/person.

Most people don't want to accept this truth because of fear.

The western religious thought is that a person must go to heaven or hell. Moses, The Prophets and Jesus did not teach about the rebirth cycle because of the low level of understanding at that time, although today most people cannot comprehend the truth either.

Each person lived as a spirit in the spirit world for a time. Because of the corrupting power of the darkness billions of spirit entered into the human cycle. Once a spirit is in the human cycle, that person will live from one life to the other. Only a few humans who have attained a higher level of consciousness will move on as a Sacred Spirit who is incorruptible to the darkness.

Basically, nobody ever dies—humans are just veiled from any memory from their past life.
    1. drjay1966
I'm inclined to think that it's those who grasp onto a dogma and treat it as absolute truth who are operating from fear.
  38. janizarzagon
    oh!?that's a nice view!
  39. Home2105
If there's no life after death; and there is no judgement after death, then everyone can live to his wildest and do the extremist baddist stuff, who cares? Anyway, no life after death! But do you think it's like that?
    1. Enlight
Karma is attached to a person past life, this is why there are people born, blind, deaf, disabled, and a whole lot of other disagreeable situations because of the person's behavior in their past life.

      Karma dictates life—good or bad.
  40. janizarzagon
I think it depends on u.how u live ur life here on earth!f u do good then u hve a reward in heaven.
    1. Enlight
That is not true, that is what people want to believe that is based on fear. Compared to the billions of spirit that have entered the human cycle, only a small percentage have broken the human cycle to enter the heavens as a Sacred Spirit.

Most humans will never break the human cycle, because of their karma when they lived as a spirit in the spirit world.

This is why seeking the truth is so very important and striving to raise your level of consciousness.

The destiny for most humans is the new earth of the children of the light, or the old earth of the kingdom of the darkness. The judgment relates to which place a person belongs according to their heart condition.

The Judgment is a time era not just one day. The judgment will begin during the time of the Man of Lawlessness, once he is anointed, the time will be of 3 1/2 years.

There is life after death in the sense that we leave our "footprints" upon the earth and in the lives of many people we touch during our mortal existence.
  42. amitchopra22
i have heard about this thing and people used to have this superstition that if anybody dies and if his/her's soul is not satisfied then he/she will remain in this world in the form of soul.
if it is so the i wud surely die with a wish so that i can complete in my next birth or in form of soul.
  43. mamafrog33
Yes, I believe in life after death
  44. Bayho
I believe that there is a heaven and a hell and that I'm going to heaven because I'm saved. I don't think i would call it life though . . .it more like a utopia . . complete perfection. Some thing completely opposite from the live styles we are used to.
  45. blogonsmog
Of course. I'm the pre-incarnation of Darth Vader.
  46. DLHarris
I believe that when life on earth is over, one goes to heaven or hell depending on whether or not one has accepted the sacrifice Christ made to pay for our sins.

We go to school to prepare for life after childhood. We go through our human existence to prepare for eternal life. By all means, we should live all stages of life, before and after, to the fullest.

I believe in all of the possibilities that exist. We should all find out one day ... that's for sure
  48. janizarzagon
in my opinion,we live here on earth temporarily and enjoy God's creation.
  49. janizarzagon
life has many surprises.u'll never know what happen tomorrow.
  50. rockaclimba
Life after death - can not say this is not possible. We hardly know life itself...we know how death happens..aging and how tissues degenerate...but we do not know much about beyond our limitations. Our eyes and ears have limited strength and who knows..life may exist in some other dimension too.

Most important factor is- live a good life. Good in your own terms and meaning and when you sleep at night..sleep with a smile. Smile of contentedness and happiness that IT WAS A GOOD DAY.
  51. jackpayne
The typical tombstone carries two dates separated by a dash. Your life represents the dash. Do you realize how insignificant that is?
  52. indianhits

As a person that comfortably travels out of the body, it is beyond doubt for me that there is life beyond.

However, I'm a 100% sure that if a person believes there is no life beyond, well they are telling the absolute truth as well.
    1. timethief
      @acousticguitar
      Agreed
  54. saraho
Yes. It is like in the movie, "What Dreams May Come."
  55. Bayho
i dont know. its so scary to think about. i mean i thought about both ways. if there is no life after death i just think to myself wow that moment where everything goes black.. and i cant talk to myself anymore and no more thoughts no more anything. its so scary. but on the other hand if there is life after death. what would it be? cause if life is science everything is just gone.
  56. josephgelb
id like to say that there is not like that when we die that is it. at the same time the vastness of the universe or whatever you know makes me think like something happens and perhaps souls never die just linger on earth and when they get tired of wars and injustice they drift to a bettar place kinda like a graduation from evil to good. im an athiest but im open to a possibility
  57. dosox
    I'm Puzzled...
Let my soul takes the Good care after i die.
I'll do good and be good when i'm alive.
  58. katscandles
I believe there is the possibility of many things...it remains to be seen what those things are after we die.
  59. G8rbryan
I will believe in the "afterlife" when someone returns from there with pictures or a video of it.
  60. fated82
No, there is no life after death. we will go back to God.
