In a season dedicated to hope and expectant longing, it is good to name the fact that for some of us, life is very difficult. For some, there are extraordinarily painful realities before us. More and more, financial dilemmas are tearing us apart. If we have lost a loved one, if we are in the middle of a deteriorating or abusive relationship or
trying to cope with a broken one, grief can cloud our hope.

Would you not agree that increasing our speed on a trip is pointless if we are not heading in the right direction? Likewise,
looking for meaning in life by simply increasing our 'busyness' will bring only emptiness, not true fulfillment. Consider how some have tried to fill this need in their search for the purpose of life.

My man, when grief and sadness are clouding the vision, the best thing to do is to be busy, honing your trade, bettering your art will always make you a deeper person, and in most cases you infuse ur sadness into your craft, and so it is slowly spindled out of you. Yes it is important to find happiness, but happiness sometimes is a long progression, and it requires equal parts introspection and avoidance, rest and work, rest and work, keeping busy(in ways that are true to what you want) will pull you threw the harsh times. Slowly you will understand who you were and who you now have become, it is the ultimate goal that needs to be altered for some people. We all improve and grow, just some people are setting their sites on a perceived precipice that is really shallow hole.

What? You speak nice? It's possible? How the heck could I have missed this?

      Good move.

Life can be hard sometimes, but we make it harder than it has to be. We do this with fatalistic thoughts and unrealistic expectations. Every grief can be endured, every obstacle can be overcome. If we don't defeat ourselves, we can't be defeated. Life is a beautiful thing, a grand adventure; we just need to have faith and confidence in ourselves.

I quit looking for the meaning of life a long time ago. It has been much more fun (and productive) to simply live it.

Some words from "The Princess Bride" seem apropos -

"Life is pain. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something."

It's what you do with it that matters, and how you relish the sweet moments that do come.

if I look back at the end of a day and I 've smiled or laughed it least once that day then it was a good day. I count my blessings rather than focus on my defeats.

LIFE, The Composite Of Four Letters And Some Sighs...!

Does IT Really Bear Any Meaning? Yes Yes, I Know, I Have Read, And Re-read, What All The Great Xs, Ys & Zs Has To Say About All The Remarkable As, Bs And Cs Of Life. But Then, At The End Of IT, It's US, The Mortals, Living And Dying Between All The Shapeless 'Ifs' & 'Buts' Of Life, See-ing And Then Remembering The Distances Between All The Autumnal 'Love Yous' & 'Good Byes', With All The Smiles And Tears. Pain. All Pain. A Grief. No Hope. No Hope.

LIFE, Full Of Ideas. Ideas Are Straight, But Sadly, The World Is Round! Likewise, I Can Take Two And A Half Minute To Write A Thesis, Another Two And A Half, For The Antithesis, Yet, No Conclusion, No Conclusion.

May Be, Life Is Like A Haiku. Before We Realize The Meaning, Before We Could Decipher Anything, IT Ends! As Such, I Want An Inch Long Life Of A Matchstick; When It Dies, For A Moment Everything Glitters In A Mysterious Joy; Light, Flame, And Then A Long Lasted Silence!...

Why Growing Old, Walking Through The Corridors Of Time, Endlessly, Crossing The Mind-made Bridge, When The Next Shore Is Unseen, Unheard? Why, Again, Walking The Circular Way, Where The Dreams Have No Meaning And Reality Makes No Sense, And Still On The Edge, Sing The Glory Song Of Struggle? Writing-Erasing-Re-writing, Creating-Destroying-Re-building, All Over Again! And Again! AH Hell! INSTEAD, An Inch Long Life Of A Matchstick! Yes, And Inch Long Life, Like That Of A Matchstick.

Among All The Rich And Dull Prizes That LIFE Has To Offer, I Chose To Chase, Only MYself!

Oh, Can Anyone Tell, How Many Miles To Babylon?

Life is easy for those who consider it this way.

Some people look at our world just as an ordinary globe where a person has to survive. Some people look at our world as a great mystery where everything is created for a person to be happy.

Everybody will get what he (she) believes in.

Life is a dustbowl at times, and a lush garden during others, and then you have the seesawing of the ocean waves in the middle bits... that's what it is like for me.

My life is feeling rather difficult at the moment and that is where my faith comes in. I feel like I have hope and I am not alone in my struggles.

    Hmmm Life just is.

You either live it or you don't.

You perceive things to be bad - but yet... looking at the starving Ethiopians, you know you are doing good.

You Perceive yourself to be in misery - but yet... looking at those who have nothing in Africa, you know you are doing good.

You perceive your country to be in turmoil - but yet... looking at what is going on in IRAN and many other countries, you know you are lucky.

You perceive yourself to be unhealthy - but yet... looking at those dying in the hospital from Cancers or Wasting diseases, you realize you are breathing just fine.

All is a matter of perception.

    Yours.
