Topics: no politics, redneck reserve
I am leaving something for the discussion board before my redneck self leaves for a day of getting chickens for my birthday and eating mexican food. What was it like before politics? What would it be like today? Would it be a better world or do you think it would be a nightmare? What do you see with out politics (exspecially on the red neck reserve?)

yep but what would life be with out political issues and religous ones? Like way way back when when you could live on your land and not have to worry about all of the crap like today

If there ever was such a day, it was because of precisely what you've mentioned here--one could largely live on one's own land and his decisions wouldn't impact anyone else. "Politics" came into play as soon as we got crowded enough that people were living in proximity to one another--as soon as what one person put on his land seeped into the water supply for his neighbor, or one person re-routing a creek kept the next from watering his crops.

Are you familiar with the Whisky Rebellion and the Shays Rebellion during the Washington administration? Nobody has ever been entirely left alone. There is always the intrusion (or at least possibility of intrusion) of some interest trying to separate the individual from his/her fruits of labor.
sorry to be so bleak

Kids, having a democracy assumes that the citizens understand how the government works. You want to live in a free country? Learn how it works! Politics is governing. Yes, there are blowhards in political life but there are blowhards everywhere else, too. Want to see how life would be without families, schools and libraries? I don't.
