    This morning I posted, "Comments from the Best Blogs in the World"
    robertstevenson.wordpress.com/2008/05/31/comments-on-robs-megaphone-from-th...
    1. nardeeisms
      I plan on spending some time here Robert. FINALLY My kinda stuff - Nards
    2. robertstevenson
      Thanks, Nards.

      I loved your post. Lennon/McCartney were the best. I learned about "sundogs" from your posts too. Very cool!
  2. nardeeisms
    Oops! duplicate
    1. nardeeisms
      EXTREMELY touching! Unexpected. Thanks for sharing - Nards
    2. robertstevenson
      This sort of thing reminds us not to take anything for granted. It could have just as easily been one of us. Thank you.
  3. thewriterspulse
    I made my last post on Thursday...it's just a long list of writing tips:

    thewriterspulse.com/writing/51-ways-to-improve-your-writing-and-yourself/

    Oh, and on my personal blog just today:
    www.spiritofrevolution.com/2008/05/they-are-here-they-are-coming.html
    1. robertstevenson
      What a valuable index of importat tools for writers. Nice job.
      Also your a modern day Paul Revere: The aliens are coming; the aliens are coming.
    2. legbamel
      I Stumbled your list. I'll have to check out some of your links and I may be referring to it from my blog one of these days. Thanks for the enormous amount of work that that took!
    3. thewriterspulse
      Thanks a bunch! :-)

    Every day I make a post on my two blogs..

      While the information in your post today was not new to me, I need to be reminded from time to time what to avoid. I appreciate the important reminder - your post was just what I needed. I feel so much better when I excercise and eat right. I wonder why I ever stop.

    Hi Rob. It was more things that annoy me once again. I can't write them fast enough Rob.

    things-that-annoy-us.blogspot.com/2008/05/annoying-things-99.html
    1. robertstevenson
      I agree with your pet peeves. They are mine as well. Both of today's topics can be chalked up to laziness. Thanks for the link.
    1. robertstevenson
      This reminds me of the sensation I had with my first pair of glasses. The ground seem to come right up to me. I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I never hear of AWS before, thanks.
    1. robertstevenson
      Very cool post on lots of levels. I've never seen Buffy, but now I will have to. BTW: I heard dueling banjos yesterday. . . the heebie jeebies continue.
    2. stilesjp
      Get the big box set. It's a bit of a price tag, but worth it. Weather through season 1, which is a joke. It gets much better.
    3. robertstevenson
      Okay. I'm off this summer. I will give it a try. Thanks
    1. robertstevenson
      I too toned down my attention to the negative news - especially now, in the summer when I'm off work. I particulalry liked your 4-steps to success. I bookmarked it. Thanks.
    2. BennyGreenberg
      thanks for the comment and the props...

      I need the summer off...
    3. robertstevenson
      Go ahead take the summer off.

      BTW: my next paycheck is on September first.
  6. JollyGreenDad
    My last one was last night. "Thought for the Weekend". I try to give people something to think about.

    www.jollygreendad.blogspot.com
    1. robertstevenson
      Okay. I came, I guessed, and I got it wrong. I enjoy these little mind triggers. Do you do this each weekend?
  7. ncarey
    My last post was written late last night

    Another Day in Court
    baltimorerealestateinvestingblog.com/?p=47

    It's a follow up post about the city of Baltimore trying to take one of my properties away.
    1. robertstevenson
      A day with lawyers and court is not my idea of a good time. They must read the papers; the economy is down. What do they want from you?
    2. ncarey
      Fortuneatly it wasn't a day in court it was only about 45 min - they got me out of there fast.

      They want me to renovate a vacant house I bought. I am trying to sell it. They want to take it away from me so they can sell it to someone who will renovate it.
  8. kdawg68
    Oh why not - My selections for today's Hollywood Park card, featuring Heatseeker vs Tiago, and the amazing Zenyatta.

    1. robertstevenson
      Reading your posts always make me want to see the race. Are these races televised? What makes you pull for the longshot?
  9. libelula
    A little bit aerie-fairy, but I've been looking for a way to incorporate a good friend's photography into something I might write about and the inspiration struck, so here it is:
    essentialbits.blogspot.com/2008/05/everything-in-its-right-place.html
    1. robertstevenson
      Wonderful combination of photos and prose. Thanks for the much needed trip. I enjoyed the ride.
  10. legbamel
    Mmm, fresh from my brain and still warm, it's a post about the difference between something that is mute and a moot point. A community service announcement if I've ever made one!

    legbamel.blogspot.com/2008/05/making-moot-point-moot-versus-mute.html
    1. nardeeisms
      Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (Nards stops cleaning, drops toilet brush, clasps hands and falls on knees!) You read my mind! I will immediately be sending your post link to a good friend of mine who confuses the two on a daily basis- Nards
    2. robertstevenson
      legbamel, you have a wonderful way with words. You are the clarity crusader.
    3. legbamel
      Thank, guys! At least I don't have to wear a cape and a codpiece to be a crusader.
    1. robertstevenson
      Hey, Cooper.

      Happy 23. Your piano's in the mail. Really well written post. I with agree with one of your visitors that the email was probably hype; but you never know. You've really got Balk's number.
  11. LGramlich
    Yesterday I posted about a hike my husband & I took;
    lucidflora.blogspot.com/2008/05/todays-hike.html
    1. robertstevenson
      Breathtaking photos. I'm glad you went ahead with the "unguided" tour. I also respect that you don't just take pictures, you follow up with research to identify species. I need to follow your example with this.
    2. LGramlich
      Thank you very kindly! I moved to this area only a few years ago, so I'm trying to educate myself along with my readers.
  12. EelKat
    My last post was at about 1AM this morning: ekcosplay.blogspot.com/2008/05/antique-silk-to-wash-or-not-to-wash.html I'm going batty over trying to figure out what to do with all this fabric, and it's all I can think about right now.

    I stayed up all night Googling, trying to figure out what to do, and I still can't decide.
    1. robertstevenson
      What an interesting blog. You have a few topics going on that I know nothing about. I'm glad you included a picture of the antique silk. Good luck working with it. I will be back to see how your quest ends.
    2. EelKat
      thanks! someone actually just sent me a message about a soap that's used by museums to wash antique garments with. I had never heard of it before. I'm going to look into it, see if I can find anybody who sells it.

      ~~~~
      Topics no body knows about: I get that a lot, I think the average response is: CosPlay? What's that? never heard of it. LOL! It's even funnier when people meet me on the street and see the way I dress... O.O
  13. DeadRooster
    I last posted last Wed. I did a BOOK REVIEW for Cluck: Murder Most Fowl:
    deadrooster.com/books/the-chronicles-of-a-zombie-chicken-slayer
    1. robertstevenson
      WTC: Dead fowl reviewed by Dead Rooster. Loved the review.
    2. DeadRooster
      Thanks Rob!
      I appreciate the visit and the comment.
    3. robertstevenson
      Pleasure. BTW was I being orginal with What the cluck or has that been done?
    1. robertstevenson
      Thanks for the gift of great music. Apocalypita: a rocking cello band with no singer. WOW!
  14. lordiwanttobewhole
    lordiwanttobewhole.blogspot.com/2008/05/you-and-mewere-in-this-together.htm...
    I wrote this a couple of days ago, I'll probably write another one while I lay in bed with a head cold boohoo
    1. robertstevenson
      I agree with you. Because society is all about "do what makes you happy,and to hell with the consequences," it is up to parents to raise their children to understand that happiness in a relationship is an ongoing commitment.
    1. robertstevenson
      We don't have to guess what you're really thinking. You shoot straight from the hip, cutting through the PC to prognasticate on what the parties mean to you. It's always refreshing to come across folks who tell it like they see it.
    2. voodooKobra
      Thanks . Usually people just tell me that I'm wrong and shouldn't write the things I do .
  15. jackpayne
    Late and lazy does it. Here's my latest, Rob, from last Tuesday:
    legalthriller.blogspot.com/2008/05/con-man-inspired-nutty-law-suits.html
    1. robertstevenson
      I am sick of the sue-happy mentality of these people you so eliquently describe and the unscrupulousness of lawyers, who take some of these crazy cases. Sloth, gluttony, and greed! - You got that right!
    1. robertstevenson
      The guy definitely believes what he's saying. I'm impressed he didn't lose his cool with the news broadcaster. I'll wait for the video.
    1. robertstevenson
      Don't want to give away the punchline, but I'd go with #2 inedible.
      Nice blog by the way.
    1. robertstevenson
      I'm just relieved I'm still 10 years shy of the cutoff for your recurring disaster.
  16. CrotchetyOldMan
    Late last night.
    Ranted about old people at a buffet.
    crotchety-old-man-yells-at-cars.blogspot.com
    1. voodooKobra
      Holy hivemind.
  17. robertstevenson
    Now you've got me wondering how old the Cratchetyoldman really is. Funny post about the bears and about the old people. I laughed out loud about the tomato slice. Thanks.
  18. ScottCarlin
    My last post was a photo series of a foggy morning in eastern Colorado.
    night-collection.blogspot.com/2008/05/foggy-visions.html
  19. robertstevenson
    Surreal, mysterious, I felt like I was viewing the world after the humans departed (But who was driving the train!!!!!!!!?)
  20. BPWebNews
    Today I updated my post which talks about MyBlogLog for newbies like me... bpwebnews.blogspot.com/2008/05/assessing-mybloglog-presence-after-100.html
    P.S. I like BlogCatalog too!
    1. robertstevenson
      Nice Blog I never got into MyBlogLog very much, but if it works for you . . . Still, IMO nothing beats BC
    1. robertstevenson
      Kinsey88, you and ScottCarlin ought to check out each other's blogs. I love them both. They are both wildlife works of art.
  21. ScottCarlin
    Robert, the train was unmanned, and barrelling through the wasteland at about 80 mph.
    Kinsey and Koti, those water shots are fantastic! I want to be there right now, please.
  22. globalgirl
    My last one is on my business blog...
    I just bought a Blackberry Perl SmartPhone: www.bloomyourbiz.com/files/Pink-BlackBerry-Perl-8130-Smartphone!.html
    1. robertstevenson
      I use Verizon as well. New every two. I assume this can with a pricetag ($), but the features are great. Will your plan change to accomodate the new features? I'm considering this upgrade myself.
    2. globalgirl
      Yup! I got a great deal ($169 with a $70 mail in rebate). Monthly normal fees plus $29.99/month unlimited email/internet! I am excited about it!
      You probably won't get the pink one for yourself, will you?
    3. robertstevenson
      I'm going black. I'm told pink is the new black, but I'm oldfashioned. I still have 11 months for me new phone.
  23. ScottCarlin
    Robert,
    I've admired Kinsey's work for a while. Koti's pretty cool too!
    1. robertstevenson
      Short, with a powerful punch. Great links. You made your point well.
      31,072 to 1; Slam dunk!
  24. ElectricWriter
    My latest post is "Queue Tip" on Wednesday 28th May:
    electricwriter.blogspot.com/2008/05/queue-tip.html
  25. robertstevenson
    You took the words right out of my mouth. Folks that jump ahead imply that what they have to do is more important than those they queue jump. It's time to end that foolish misconception.
  26. markstoneman
    I haven't blogged since Memorial Day weekend. Was off to Boston last week and now I've got summer terms starting at Georgetown and George Mason University. Still got some readings to put together for the former too, which I better get going on now that I am alone in the apartment.
    The post is about what I did last Sunday at Arlington Cemetery, the Vietnam Veteran's Wall, and the National Memorial Day Concert. markstoneman.wordpress.com/2008/05/26/memorial-day/
  27. BennyGreenberg
    Well - told you it was coming...
    and it actually has the option for everyone to get involved...
    ya-ttitude.com/blog/2008/06/01/fear-criticism-and-embarrassment-%e2%80%93-b...
    1. BennyGreenberg
      ok - its up -
    2. robertstevenson
      This is so good. I love this post. I can use it in my teaching. My job requires me to critique. So many students only want positive criticism. They shut down when it is constructive. I've worked hard to distinguish between negative and constructive critism, but there's some who still get crushed. I've booked marked another of your posts. Thanks.
    Kylie Minogue Bio, Photos, Videos and more...
    1. robertstevenson
      Impressive bio. Did you interview her?
  29. Daudleikr
    A semi-long post about sexual moral (and why it's not important):
    daudleikr.blogspot.com/2008/06/sex-and-jane.html
    1. robertstevenson
      Thanks, Daudleikr.
      We have different attitudes toward sex, but hey that's what makes the world go round. Or maybe it was gravity; I never did well in Astonomy; or was it physical science . . .
  30. lordiwanttobewhole
    lordiwanttobewhole.blogspot.com/2008/06/positive-affirmations.html
    I wrote an entry about positive affirmations, since I've been on a mission to bring joy and peace into my life. I wanted to share with others.
    1. robertstevenson
      I agree wholeheatedly. Autopilot can ruin our lives. We just don't appreciate life on autopilot. Affirmation is a great way to stop the merry-go-round and really "live" life.
    1. robertstevenson
      Wow. Interesting post. It is surprising how quickly costs add up.
    1. robertstevenson
      Hey Wendy. I will get to your first thing in the morning. Thanks.
    2. robertstevenson
      What a funny joke. It's hilarious that it went undetected. I feel the need to pay it forward
    1. robertstevenson
      Amazing: doggie blogger. Love the concept. Love the post and video. Well done.
    1. robertstevenson
      Excellent post: I'm just impressed Slash can still think straight. I remember a description of him from early gnr days describing him as a great talent with a bourbon-soaked brain. I expected him to turn into another pucn-drunk Ozzie. Very nice!
  31. Majik
    Mine was posted a few minutes ago. I hope one or two of you visit and like it!
    majik2903.blogspot.com/2008/06/emergency-toilet-repair.html
    1. robertstevenson
      Wow, floating urine. I didn't expect to find those two words beside each other this morning. Informative, funny post.
    2. Majik
      Any time glad you stopped by for a laugh!
  32. markstoneman
    Brief announcement about my courses this summer: clioandme.wordpress.com/2008/06/01/summer-term/
    1. robertstevenson
      Interesting: how do your summer school students compare to your spring and fall classes? Do you get mostly history students, or is this a gen. ed. course? Curious also about the classification Fresman - Senior? Do you enjoy teaching this course. Why would this course not work well online?
    Just a short post about how sad I am that Entrecard is down.
    1. robertstevenson
      I know so little about entrecard because it's not compatible with my blog host. I did really like the post before that of you and your child - very nice pics.
    MapJack has taken Google's street view out of America and into Thailand...and of course they toured the largest red light district...
    1. robertstevenson
      I had no idea this existed. Very informative. Nice post.
    1. robertstevenson
      Excellent. Loved hearing about the making the most of your busy time to appreciate what's really important. I loved the pictures. Thanks.
    Greetings Rob
    A sand dune leap- from a contributor, Oochappan:
    1. robertstevenson
      Simply awesome!
  36. mysterycreature1
    A bit of a depressing post from me... I wrote about last nights revelations about being depressed. I think it will be ok though!
    mysterycreature.wordpress.com/2008/06/02/perhaps-the-start-of-something-new...
    There is happier stuff on this blog too!
    1. robertstevenson
      I know things look dark sometimes, but the light always comes back on. I think the advice you gave yourself is exactly right. We break a leg we go to the leg doctor. . . I'm glad you're on your way to feeling better.
    1. robertstevenson
      oops I thought I did. This was an easy one: the guy broke it, he should fix it. I can't believe he didn't offer.
  37. ranjith143
    my last post is on flowers, www.best143.blogspot.com
    how is it?
      I like the white carnation. It looks like vanilla icing!
  38. markstoneman
    Added some quotes about confusion, history, memory, and language to my tumblelog: commonplacing.tumblr.com
    1. robertstevenson
      Love the idea. I bookmarked it. I look forward to registering with Tumblr. Candide is one of my favorites.
    2. DrowseyMonkey
      I like that Mark. Very cool
    1. robertstevenson
      I found your post provocative, inspiring, and clever. It really was a wonderful bit of prose. Thanks.
  39. Daudleikr
    daudleikr.blogspot.com/2008/06/norwegian-recycling.html
    Not so much to promote my own blog, but rather to promote the guy the post is about. He makes mashups (two or more songs mixed together to make a new song), and they're absolutely brilliant. I'm blown away. That guy is going to make it.
    1. robertstevenson
      I'd never heard of a mashup. I'm glad I read your post. I will now seek them out.
    2. legbamel
      I love mashups! I'll have to re-visit your post when I have more time to listen.
