Little SEO Tip for Folks Using Google Webmaster Tools

Most folks may already know this, but then again-- maybe not. And I've found it's been really helpful for my blogs in generating additional search traffic.
If you use Google's Webmasters Tool, under the Settings tab...
Check the "Image Search" box.
Why should you do this? What Google has to say about it is this:
"Google may use tools such as Google Image Labeler to associate the images included in your site with labels that will improve indexing and search quality of those images."
Meaning, if you name your image files something descriptive, and check the Image Search box and Google will then add them for indexing and searching.
Folks clicking on the image in Google's index will go right to the page with that image on it.
And as a result, I've seen searchers come in this way, and then look at other pages on my blog, too. Can't beat that!
As I was seeing more and more traffic coming this way, I figured it was good to pass on the info to folks who might not be aware.
Happy blogging!

If you go here:
www.google.com/webmasters/start
And share your site info with Google, you can submit your site map and Google will show you indexing and search stats, etc. It's basically one more connection you have to Google to help it search your site better.
