Today I wrote my lazy and sweat free post in which i shared 10 very random things about me. (Please don't dissect the contents here)

sexingrock.blogspot.com/2009/08/lolita-vida.html

So if you are up to it, I'd love to read your own 10 things list. The only catch is that it has to be spontaneous.

I live on a small island where there are many beaches as we are surrounded by water. I do not like wearing bathing suits and I do not like tourist beaches. 7. timethief
      @Stellak
We have 4, 6, 8 to to a degree 9 and 10 in common. I'm frequently a lucid dreamer (the dreamer who is aware she is dreaming) and I'm into recording and interpreting dreams. I cut my hair short so the wavy curliness is no longer an issue.
    8. LolitaV
We have 2 and 3 in common

I have a dumb question but How do you know if you've never been in love?
    9. stellak

    3. LolitaV
1, 3 and 10 we have in common. I wish I could take baths daily. I love the 100% clean feeling i get from them

Clean feelings are from showers, when you have washed all the yuck away
    5. Deray28
I agree with Claire. I like baths but I don't get a clean feeling from them. I usually shower after a bath, jajajaja. No, I don't take baths often, I waste a lot of water.

I can't drink my coffee or tea with a grain of sugar in it. FOr me, it kills the flavor.
    8. crpitt
I can drink good coffee without sugar, but for me tea has to have a wee bit of sugar.

So can you cook or do you prefer cleaning?
    2. nothingprofound
Me-cook or clean? You'll have to make a better offer.
    3. timethief
No, you would have to make me a better offer then, because I'm nobody's free maid or free cook, and I don't babysit adults. Bottom line: You'd either need to pay your way with hard work or with hard cash to live under my roof.

P.S. I hope you understand that I'm just joking in this series of exchanges. I won't be adopting anyone anytime soon.
    4. aspotofblog
      @nothingprofound
I've never voted in an election either
      Apparently color-blindness only affects men
      I love nature
      I love books
I still don't have a 'proper' job and I'm in my thirties
I don't know what to believe in
Nothing anybody says or thinks shocks me either, it's normally the reverse - I shock them
I don't like bringing attention to myself, so I prefer not to dress up
You eat practically nothing? You sound like an alien. I enjoy food.
    5. nothingprofound
TT: O, I thought you were serious. I was all packed and ready to go. (That is, until you mentioned the cooking and cleaning.)
    6. nothingprofound
@aspot: I love food. But with me a little goes a long way.

And I don't care if you love books, missy. I hate em.

And how about staring at women? You left that one out.
    7. timethief
      @nothing profound
Well, as I pointed out above money can replace work. So to address your two deficiencies you would have to take me out to eat and pay the bill, or hire someone to come in and cook, and hire a maid so she can do your work for you.

BTW I could acre less if your hobby is staring at women. After all I've endured (tee hee) a lifetime of men staring at me.
    8. aspotofblog
      @nothingprofound
I stare at both men and women.
    9. LolitaV
      1. 3. 6. 7. 9. I love staring at women AND men

    10. I have a huge family, 4 brothers, one sister, 4 nephews, one niece, around 40 first cousins who have I don't know how many kids, jajaja.

Bonus: I love to live by myself but I need to have the TV or the radio on at all times, just to have some noise.
    1. timethief
      @Deray
We have 1 in common when it comes to sci-fi, but when it comes to cheesy romance novels, I'd rather write one than read one. We also have 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 10 in common.
    2. nothingprofound
Deray-are you from Hermosillo? My brother was in love once with a young woman from there-but things didn't work out! I hear it's very beautiful there, too.

      @crpitt
I'm with you on that. I hate washing dishes and putting them away too.

      @Deray

I love socks, but also never wear them in bed.
They are essential for floor sliding

I detest shopping, except buying daft gifts for friends and family.
    7. timethief
I detest grocery shopping. The only kind of shopping I enjoy is second hand, charity shop, and thrift store shopping.

I had very long hair (I could sit on it) for most of my life. Cutting it off proved to be a liberating experience and I will probably never grow it long again.
    8. ThriftShopRomantic
I love new socks. I'm probably the only person who actually enjoys getting them for Christmas.
    9. timethief
I ♥ cotton socks. I adore anyone who gives me socks. I also ♥ foot massages.

      10. I love most genres, but I don't like science fiction or fantasy like Harry Potter.
    16. nothingprofound
@TT & HTR: Bald? No way. I just had it cut-it was down around my shoulders. If hair were money, I'd be the richest man in America.
    17. ismsandologies
      Ugly $^$#&$*# monkeys. I concur.
    18. wagerwitch

Woah! I'm with lolita on the cooking every night - insane! I can cook very well but Beloved is the primary cook here. I spent a substantial part of my childhood cooking, cleaning, and being a nanny to my siblings and cousins.
    3. LolitaV
my husband has to beg me sometime to cook. I cook a lot on sunday/monday and stock the fridge for the week.
    4. timethief
      @bettieblogger
I'm an artist too but I'm not in the closet about it. I make part of my income from art (sumei painting).
    5. Sam1982
      I can relate to #2 and #6
    6. bettieblogger
lol yes, a little insane .. I don't know why, I just really enjoy it. But, were not talking huge meals every night... It could be a simple as tossing some chicken in the oven. Weekdays I keep it a little lighter .. weekends, I go to town.

As for the artwork, I guess I call myself a closet artist, TT because not alot of people have seen my work .. When I sculpt it is a theraputic thing for me, if I am chisseling away, chances are I am in deep thought and trying to work something out within myself .. It's really the only time you see me sculpt. Though I must say, some interesting pieces have come out of that :
    7. wagerwitch
What do you sculpt in the closet?
    8. bettieblogger
wager, usually things of a fantasy nature .. wizards, dragons, faeries and the like .. I also like to do things that are Celtic themed.. I think it's the leprechaun in me
    9. wagerwitch
Oooh oooh oooh - I COLLECT DRAGONS....

Show me show me show me!!!
    10. wagerwitch
      Seriously SHOW me... LOL!

      I collect dragons...

I might even be willing to trade some of my beading for some of your sculpture...
  15. Sam1982
    1) I used to be a chronic pot smoker
    2) I have a heart condition

4)I dont own a car at the moment
    5)I've never been arrested
6)I avoid getting angry or into fights because I dont like hurting others and normally do when angry.
7)I was the only kid who wasn't aloud to sing in the end of year school concert at age 11 because my voice had already broken.
8)I belong to a Maori tribe
9)I used to care for special needs children
10)I'm a big heavy metal (music) and horror movie fan
    1. timethief
      @Sam
We have 5 in common. I used to be a caregiver for battered kids recovering from abuse and suffering from grief due to loss (divorce, death, etc.)
    2. LolitaV
Just googled your tribe. you have tattoos too? the ones I saw are AWESOME!!!!
      the Maori are cute btw.
    3. Sam1982
Nope, unfortunately because of the heart condition I have to be super careful about the risk of blood poisoning, so even though I REALLY want to get a tattoo its too much of a risk
    4. Sam1982
@TT and what about the other 4?
    5. timethief
      @Sam
I'm sorry. I meant to say that we have number 5 on your list in common.
    6. bettieblogger
      Sam, your Maori?

Very interesting tribe indeed ... years back I saw an independant film called "Once Were Warriors" and I really took an interest in the culture after that .. The Maori traditions are quite inspiring and the fact that they have honoured thier ways for so long is impressive to me..

I also have a son that is 1/2 Samoan ... they seem somewhat similiar to me, are you familiar with the Samoans at all?
    7. wagerwitch
I think chronic and pot go together... Don't they?
    8. bettieblogger
wager, nope lol .. a chronic is someone who will wake and bake and stay baked until bedtime
  16. cathy13

    1. Andy Williams is one my favorite singers
    2. I hate milk (although I will have it on cereal)
    3. My 10 year old car has 40,000 km (24,000miles)
    4. I smoked for 25 yrs. and quite in 1999
    5. I LOVE to watch cartoons
    6. I hate lima beans (just like you Melinda)
    7. I rarely miss a Blue Jays baseball game

    9. I got my driver's licence when I was 27
10.I Was previously married for 11 months
(added bonus - I am learning to speak Italian)
    1. crpitt
With you on number 2, although I barely frighten the cereal with milk and the only cereal I will consume is frosties or crunchy nut cornflakes. The thought of them going soggy makes me want to vomit!
    2. nothingprofound
Add me to the hate milk list. The thought of it makes me want to puke. That and runny eggs-yuk!.
    3. wagerwitch
I love Anime - does that count?
    4. timethief
      @Cathy
Add me to the I hate lima beans list. (I'm allergic to most legumes.)
I also despise chili -- yuck!
    5. cathy13
@NP - Running eggs have me gagging and running from the room. They always get sent back if the restaurant dares to serve them to me that way!
    6. stellak
      I hate milk too!
  17. Rory
Okay, I'll get in on this, as well. Not in order ...

    1. Love reading The Dragonriders of Pern (McCaffrey) so much, that I wish I was a Brown rider in F'Lar's wing at the time Aivas was discovered. (Sad, eh?)
    2. Thoroughly enjoys science and history documentaries.
    3. Hates everything to do with politics.
    4. Is a cat person.
    5. Reminisces back to when he used eat schnecken (escargots) with his Dad every Sunday afternoon while watching Looney Tunes when we lived in Germany in 1969.
    6. Is soooooooo proud he served his country (family tradition), then followed it up by working 3 years with the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping.
    7. Loves his family - despite their idiosyncracies. (Not that I have any!)
    8. Would love to own a couple hundred forested acres in the foothills of the Rockies with a sizeable pond/lake on it. Either that or 10 or 20 acres on the water on Vancouver Island.
    9. Wishes that he was rich enough to afford the costs to develop, prototype, manufacture, and market his inventions.
    10. Is absolutely amazed, daily, that he found Cathy.
    1. wagerwitch
      #10 is soooo sweet!
    2. Rory
Enough to make you gag, eh!?!? Heh heh.
    3. cathy13
Uh it's me that does the gagging bucko
    4. ismsandologies
When I was a kid I was Dragonriders addicted! I can't remember what I wanted to be, but I know in my fantasies I had a dragon and I hung out on coasts a lot. I think I envisioned the land looking a lot like Mexico.

...maybe I was a Spring Break rider.
    5. timethief
      @Rary
I loved that Dragonriders of Pern (McCaffrey) series. I cannot afford 200 forested acres on Vancouver Island but the forested acreage I have on a small island close by suits me just fine.
    6. hatingtherain
      Rory, this is pathetic:

I actually cried when Robinton died. I'm a moron and didn't even see it coming.
    7. Rory
      @Timethief - vnice! I'd take that setting!

@hatingtherain - ya, I didn't see it coming, either ... but Anne handled it soooo well. Can't say I'm too too thrilled with her son's writings, so far!
  18. wagerwitch
    1. I write out of necessity - not necessarily because I like it - and I'm rarely able to keep the content small.

    2. Poetry comes to me naturally like breathing - and sometimes that REALLY bothers me - because I don't think "EVERYONE" likes poetry - and sometimes I can't even stand it.

    3. My feet get really, really hot sometimes - and it's uncomfortable.

    4. I have panic attacks when I'm one on one with people - or sometimes when I'm the center of attention in SMALL crowds. I have no problem with Large Crowds - or with people I know and am comfy with.

    5. I feel uncomfortable under fluorescent lights and certain other types of lighting that hums or makes waves that most people cannot see - but I can. (It makes grey dot patterns much like scrambled television pixels appear in front of my eyes.)

    6. I don't trust modern medicine and the FDA very much. I've learned that major pharmaceutical companies don't care about the CURE - and only want to keep people on the "treatment" for as long as possible.

    7. I don't trust Law Enforcement any more - I used to think they were honest, truthful - GOOD people. Now I know that they are more like the Mafia and NEVER protect their own.

    8. I don't believe in religion - and feel that it is a mass population control.

    9. I am at the very essence a VERY happy person - who believes in the best of EVERYONE - and have been called naive when it comes to judging people. Asperger's does not allow me to read people at all physically - so I don't visually clue in on things.

    10. I really love people over all - and think this world needs to figure out how to WORK together for all of our differences - we are truly all the same.
    1. cathy13
I can so relate to #4...weird eh?
    2. wagerwitch
      And 10 more random things:

      1) I love reading sci-fi, fantasy, romance, thriller, horror and good spy novels

      2) I love making things - music, jewelry, art.

      3) I love meeting people - and I keep them close to my heart.

      4) I would do ANYTHING for ANYONE - and believe most would do so for me.

      5) I love my husband - more than I ever knew was possible - I didn't know this kind of love could exist - I thought only romance novels depicted this kind of love - and I believe with my heart he feels the same way about me.

      6) I love laughter - ALWAYS... Even when the world has fallen at my feet - I have found things to chuckle at.

      7) I believe YOU HAVE to keep going on - no matter how hard, how sick, how badly beaten you are...

      8) Nothing is impossible... I just don't always know how to get there.

      9) I love sharing opinions and learning other people's thoughts

      10) I love PEACE - and will do whatever I can to understand both sides.
    3. Rory
If I had had more room on my list, ie having a #11, it would be your #8 (in your first list above).
    4. cathy13
I think You are really Me in a parallel universe that are somehow intertwining....ya, ya, that's it!
    5. ismsandologies
      You're just so lovely.
    6. wagerwitch
LOL - ya sometimes peeps are like that... We have a lot of similarities - but yet, we are all unique individuals.
    7. timethief
      @wagerwitch
      re: first 10
      We have 3, 5, 6, and 8 in common.

      re: 2nd 10
      We have 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 , 9, 10 in common.
  19. LolitaV
rory and cathy, you 2 are making me sick, get a room dammit
    1. Rory
LOLOL ... room sex. At least we're not at Hall Sex, yet.
  20. LaurenM622
    1) i want to fall asleep in a field of poppies like in the Wizard of Oz
    2) i have two tattoos in secret places
    3) i still sleep with a stuffed giraffe my aunt gave me when i was born (no wonder i'm single...)
    4) i'm a classically trained opera singer... but i could never imagine it as a career...
    5) my favorite perfume smells exactly like green tea - it keeps me refreshed :-)
    6) i can't stay in a bubble bath for more than 10 minutes without getting antsy
    7) i'm terribly forgetful 90% of the time
    8) i can bake a mean pot brownie (shhhh....)
    9) i would give anything to move back into the apartment in Arezzo where I lived last summer
    10) my favorite piece of clothing is a dress my great-grandma made for my grandmother's HC dance in the late 50's. It fits me perfectly with no alterations...
    1. ismsandologies
I like 1. That would be nice.
    2. dbowles1017
I hate the wizard of oz
    3. LaurenM622
no way! it's a classic! witches, fancy shoes, opium, flying monkeys, and city made out of emeralds??? what else do you need?

@ismsandologies - it's been a fantasy of mine since childhood! when i was living in italy, we'd take the train through poppy fields & it was all i could do to not jump out the window & frolic...
    4. timethief
      @Lauren
I love OZ and would be happy to join you in the poppy field. However, I would prefer an Alpine meadow if we can locate one. Re:5 My favorite bubble bath concoction is green tea and roses. Re: 8 I can too I am also a green witch (herbal medicine practitioner).
    5. dbowles1017
I have lived in Kansas my entire life... There was a park with a yellow brick road... Everyone thinks they are clever when they ask me where toto is. Wizard of Oz sucks.
    6. ismsandologies
@ dbowles I understand, but I can't stand the musical Oklahoma! Try spelling the name of your state every morning right after breakfast.
    7. LaurenM622
@ismsandologies i'm from ohio, but i've been in too many productions of oklahoma! whenever i hear the music, it makes me want to kill myself a little bit...
    8. timethief
The music from Oklahoma makes me wince.
    9. voodooKobra
Albuquerque by Weird Al. Need I say any more? I'm so glad I don't live there.
    10. LaurenM622
@timethief... mmm green tea and roses? that must be fantastic... and an alpine meadow would be sufficient... anything with tons of flowers and open air. so different than the city :-)

since you're a green witch, any advice on pot tea? several people have suggested it to me to counteract my lacking appetite, but none of them seem to know how to make it...
  21. voodooKobra
Man, some of you people could cure insomnia. Here's my 10 things list. Prepare to be blown away... until it gets removed by the community for being too awesome.

    1. Charisma is my dump stat. I'm not very well-spoken and I tend to trip on my own vocabulary from time to time. However, I've reassigned those points to INT and WIS, so if you can get past the awkward wording, you might learn a thing or two. This doesn't manifest in text-based media. (D&D references)

    2. Similar to Lolita, I'm not exactly straight, though I'm probably a little bit more bi than she is.

    3. I find it very easy to manipulate people (more than one at a time, even), and trick them into believing things that are just conveniently far enough removed from reality to suit my purposes. I don't do this often, though, and when I do, it's usually to help a friend.

    4. I focus on my swordsmanship a lot, but I'm a natural with a polearm. (Think slashy pokey thing on a long stick.) If I get my hands on anything that resembles either (such as a 6' bamboo stake), you'd better hope I'm on your side.

    5. I'm practically blind in one eye, so my vision by default comes from the other eye. Thus, optical illusions that people employ in combat (such as putting a striped pattern on their weapon to make their opponent misjudge the distance) do not work on me. People who rely on such crutches find themselves at a severe disadvantage.

    6. The man who is teaching me nodachi techniques employs a system of metaphors based on the classical elements: fire, air, water, earth, and a fifth element (shadow) for weird stuff. Despite my large frame, I tend to use a lot of air attacks, which involves a lot of moving in circles at high speeds. Irony at its best.

    7. I used to be really good at poetry when I was a hateful, evil bastard. When I stopped being the physical embodiment of wrath, I lost that talent.

    8. When I took the Multiple Intelligence Test in middle school, my weakest area was music. That still holds true for the most part today, though I think my people skills have fallen to last place.

    9. I'm the epitome of INTJ.

    10. My IQ is only 134, last I tested it. Anyone who thinks I'm some super-genius is delusional; I just have a really good memory.
    1. timethief
I ♥ you voodoo but I think you already guessed that, right?

I identify with 7. I'm the epitome of an INFJ - the most rare of all personality types. Our IQs are close. I also have a great memory.
    2. voodooKobra
I'm not sure if guessed is the right word to use, but more-or-less, yeah.

      You're a great friend, TT.

[I miss not being able to fence myself and to teach it.]

What I do is a little bit different than fencing, considering I use two-handed swords, but nonetheless that's unfortunate. I hope your head heals and you can begin doing all the stuff you love again.
    3. LolitaV
VK you sound like my husband. R u quiet by nature?
    4. timethief
      removed
    5. voodooKobra
@LolitaV: Most of the time. If you mention science, mathematics, or philosophy, you'll be lucky to shut me up with a gag ball and a tranquilizer dart.

@timethief: I'm glad to hear that you've accepted your condition and that you're moving on with your life, though I regret to hear that the feelings of loss sadden you.

[I was a physically active and very fit outdoor person -- past tense. SIGH]

That must make it really difficult for you. Still, I think you have the strength to overcome it.
    6. timethief
removed -- excuse me -- gotta go
    7. voodooKobra
      Also removed.
    8. ismsandologies
I geekgiggled at 1. I'm fair on CHA and INT, it's DEX and WIS I'm sadly deficient in.
    9. voodooKobra
If I had to evaluate myself based on D&D 3.5, it would look something like this:

      Kobra
Level 3 Fighter / Level 7 Computer Wizard
      HP: 64
      AC: 10
      STR: 12 (+1)
      DEX: 10 (+0)
      CON: 11 (+0)
      INT: 13 (+1)
      WIS: 12 (+1)
      CHA: 6 (-2)

      Skills:
      Innuendo: 13 ranks

      Feats:
Rising Sun (sword technique: chance of coup de gras on the last strike of my turn)
    10. ismsandologies
Participating in the boards at all boosts Innuendo ranks. I would think Snark would be class skill for everyone, too.

Too bad there are always more trolls than we can take out. TPK.
    11. voodooKobra
Trolls either breed like fleas or they keep a strong social network. Which is kinda ironic, considering the nature of most trolls.
    12. wagerwitch
      ROFLMAO on the D&D stuff.
    13. voodooKobra
I've got plenty more. I once made an entire character sheet that was nothing more than a satire of my social awkwardness.
  22. lloydsbackyard
    again, removed
  23. greencurmudgeon
    1. I've recently come to believe in reincarnation.

    2. My favourite sports team is the South Africa's rugby squad, the Springboks. I have a number of Springbok shirts I've collected over the years.

    3. I'm wearing Chuck Taylor Converse shoes at the moment. They're maroon in colour.

    4. I am probably going to sleep for 10 hours tonight.

    5. I have no idea what my next blog post will be about.

    6. I go to the theatre more than the movies.

    7. I'm thinking about moving to Bristol.

    8. I'm starting to worry that Paul Giamatti and I are long-lost brothers.

    9. I am doing my level best to fill the days with work - BC fills the remainder of the gaps.

    10. I doubt anyone is going to feel much more enlightened as to my true nature due to the previous points.
    1. voodooKobra
      @10 - Nope.
    2. wagerwitch
      Always believed reincarnation was poss.

Have a feeling you're closer to that dude than we think - but no one really cares if ya know what I mean.

You're pretty cool - even if you do wear funky shoes at odd hours.

Who needs to be enlightened? But Opera/Plays/shows are MUCH more interesting than sitting in the dark with a bunch of Peewee Hermans.

      LMAO!

    OK - NUMBER 11...

    I think FARTS are funny.

(sorry - I had to share that... we just had that discussion here at home... and we are both still laughing... NOT SMELLING MIND YOU...)
    1. LolitaV
when i fart it is when others fart it's disgusting
    2. voodooKobra
It's hard to take the sound of a fart seriously, but very easy to take the smell seriously.
  26. bringbackpluto
Love it! Now I feel complete. Thanks for the pics.

    1. Yes, DDs are great, but I don't discriminate. As THE GUYS say,
    "It's all good baybee."

Not sure if women would say the same thing!!

    2. Farts will never not be funny. I'm sorry, that's the way it is.

    3. And yes, I'm not really a coffee fiend, just a DD coffee fiend.
  27. aspotofblog
    @Lolita

OK, since you asked so nicely:

    1) Before I did my massage job, I tried out being a stripper. The men freaked me out and I never returned.
    2) I feel guilty when I have to kill an insect
    3) If you can make me laugh, then you are my friend

Making me laugh is also an in with me.

      4,5,6,7,8,9 snap also!

      Are you stalking me?
    2. ismsandologies
Holy crap, that profile about fits me too. But with 1, my biggest problems were the hours and the shoes. In the end, I was too lazy to be a stripper.
  28. aspotofblog

Rivy Rocks - Getting intimate Rivy... Gotta tell you...

It means you aren't intimate with yourself.

It means it is easier for you to shut off than to share - because sharing means that people will see the real you... And honestly - you might not like the real you - so why should they?

When in reality - you are humble...

Come out of your shell - and share that humbleness...

With everyone - there are things to like - and things NOT to like --- but giving of yourself intimately only means you have to believe that YOU ARE YOU...

      And that's hard.

I'm a very intimate person (not sex... if you understand what I mean.)

When I'm with my husband - I just OOOZE out of my pores - everything that I am - I am... And I give it all to him - at all times... Because I learned YOU HAVE TO BE WHO YOU ARE --- and YOU CAN share it.

I dunno if that helps or even anything - I just wanted to tell you - I think you're intimate without even knowing it - and if you aren't - then maybe you should just take a deep breath - and TRY IT.

It isn't about sex - it's about letting go and being you.

Sheesh ok you guys -- SHARE!

    3. lotusb
I've named it the "D*ck Head Doorknob" move.
    4. dbowles1017
      Please share...
    5. lotusb
DB, I'd show you that move in a quickness...

I'll need your equipment to volunteer for my demonstration.
    6. ArsenicCookies
well my move is also related to BJ, I took parts and techniques from several cultures, combined them, improved them based on extensive using of exes as guinnea pigs and a textbook, massage techniques, child hood playground games (think much softer indian burn) rolled it all into one and came up with what I like to call "Remember Me Always" haha. To this day, 2 of my exes still comment on it. Gets to a point where they cannot tell where hands or mouth end/begin
    7. dbowles1017
Ok ok. Ladies I am offering myself so you can demonstrate your signature moves.
