Looking for a "cheap but lovely" honeymoon spot

I am getting wed in June. Trouble is, I also started my own organisation last month and I have neither time nor money. Can anyone recommend somewhere cheap but lovely (warm preferably) that I can travel to (from the UK) for a week in June?

I have no recommendations as I don't know what the costs are and what you can afford. Besides, we spent our honeymoon at home, playing chess and assorted adult games

The Universities are all closed for the summer holidays and the rooms are mostly empty. Write to all the universities in the areas you want to go to, asking if they will accept scholars for a week - tell them you are researching something vital in their city. Above all, make sure they have rooms for married couples!
The rooms may be a bit spartan, but hey... you will be too busy (touring all day or in bed) to worry. Have a great time.-
Now THATS a good plan. I am doing tons of research at the moment!
Trouble is my research takes me....to....well....er....not honeymoon spots exactly.

There are always cheap flights to Barcelona and you can rent an apartment in the gothic quarter for a good price. -
What is considered expensive to you? Under a thousand? Under five hundred? I take that would be Euros?

I would say book a cruise if you can. A three-day cruise for two people is around 500-600 dollars depending on where you go and what you do. Plus with cruises the food is included. Granted, i don't know how true that is for England. -
Wow - so far the university idea is tops....Barcelona is tempting. Anywhere long haul from the UK is probably out...and well, I guess I have travelling a fair bit - but not always to "nice" places (Sri Lanka aside)
