Between Cyclone Nargis, and leaders who can't seem to get food and water to people who need it, Burma (or Myanmar, or Myanma) is hurting.

I've posted about this, based on what I'm reading in the news. ( anotherwaronterrorblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/burma-myanmar-myanma-between-cy... )

I'd like to get BlogCatalogers with knowledge of the situation there to add your experiences and knowledge to this discussion thread.

Then, I can post again, with a link to this thread. (Getting you all to do most of the work for me .)

Thanks!

I don't have any extensive knowledge beyond what you already know I keep thinking I should go ahead and write about it, but i can't do it. I cant' bring myself to do it.

I think I know what you mean.

The situation in Burma (or whatever) is profoundly disturbing, no matter how you slice it.

Revealing my soft side for a moment....I have a very hard time writing or talking about those things - in Burma, and elsewhere. I commend the bloggers who can, even if I don't read their posts (can't do that either)...it's not that I don't care, it's that I care too much.

Sigh, hopefully others will weigh in, and can help. Sorry, Norski.

Thanks. Very good post, actually. Satellite imagery and detailed discussion of the situation.

A rather political link or two on the page, but what the hey - information is information.

I didn't write a whole lot. My main focus is how to help. I don't think I can bring myself to writing about the atrocities of Burma.

Here's a recent piece on TechFun's blog. He sourced it well.

Great thread. It's important, I believe, to become knowledgeable and take action. There is thread in the bloggers unite group focused on ways we can lend a hand
