I guess...If once You have fallen in love with another...it will be difficult for You to accept him /her as your friend by breaking your love relation you already had....

I guess the old thoughts will haunt You each and every time you speak with them...

this is a personal experience any way :-)

Thoughtful-I know many couples-married or not-who have broken up and remained friends. It's a choice whether to hold on to feelings of hurt and rage. Two of my wife's best friends are ex-lovers who like her have moved on with their lives into new relationships. They still have a great deal in common and enjoy each other's company.

      dear nothing profound...

thatz an Inspiring one....thanx a lot for that...

But I guess...both the girl and the boy should maintain their friendship relation...

I guess there is no meaning in one doing it...:)

Friendship and relationship are begun by love. It's no matter about friendship or relationship, just let it flow like water.

"Friendship often ends in love but love in Friendship never"

When friendship leads to love but then the love ends, perhaps they can "fall back on" the friendship relationship.

But when someone goes first thing into a love relationship, and it fails, there's nothing to fall back on.

You can fall in love with someone with whom you have nothing in common. But to become friends, you probably have stuff in common first.

    @ BULL GRIT....

I agree with you in the first to paragraphs....

But I won't agree with you in the last para:-

"You can fall in love with someone with whom you have nothing in common. But to become friends, you probably have stuff in common first."

To fall in love both of them need to understand each other...which itself is common..!!!

What about "love at first sight"?

No understanding, nor anything known to be in common when love comes before even getting to know one another.

The quote only holds true for relationships that are barely one step above a one-night stand or ones where the emotions are so intense that the couple cannot bear to see each other.

      I completely agree with you.....

I whole-heartedly disagree. I think that if there is real love present the basis is always the same foundation that makes up real friendship.
