Low traffic during holidays?

Until a few days ago, there were a couple of threads on BC talking about low traffic during Christmas. Strangely enough, my traffic peaked during this time. Now, New Year's time, my traffic has fallen drastically even though I've posted like everyday for the past three days.

Has anybody else also seen a fall in traffic over the past few days?

All the while my traffic always increases during holidays. No idea why ...

my traffic had increased substatially since i joined twitter 9 days ago which was coincidentally the beginning of the the holidays but i think its twitter that pushed it, holidays or not.

My traffic was low during Christmas. But has risen steadily every day since. Yesterday was my best day since Christmas. I think it all really depends on your blog's topic and your readers.

Starting December 23rd until sunday the 28th my traffic was way down. It fell almost 100%. It boomed back up on Monday though. I guess it really depends on the content of your blog. I run a fairly serious politics blog and I think that people were probably shying away from the more serious stuff over xmas and looking for cheerier things.

At least that is what I tell myself. lol

I was thinking the The Beltway was pretty and the other day but I guess that is not the type of traffic you are talking about.
I haven't looked at my site meter in two weeks. It's better that way believe me.
