Malware and Work-at-Home Scams: Is it Just Me?

So you get an email with an attachment. Or a URL you've never seen before.
The email says, in marginally-coherent English, that you can make money, working from home, or help some grand nabob in a third-world country, move huge sums of money around - through your bank account.
Is it just me? Or are these come-ons as transparently bogus as I feel they are?
