Man Against Woman

I was witness to a domestic dispute here in our neighborhood last night. A male neighbor of ours punched his female neighbor in the face and was in the act of mauling her if not for our intercedence.
What's your opinion on this?
I myself felt like beating the guy into a pulp to knock some sense in his macho self.
What about yours?

The hell is wrong w/u for sayin' that????!!! And people wonder why there are lorraina bobbits,and that lady who ran over her hubby! because of those comments just like u made!
I usually don't assume things,but I assume you are single,and probably will be until ur additude changes

WOW GFG - that's truly not a very good comment. I'm not sure WHERE you come from, what lifestyle or what culture you come from...
However - it is NOT acceptable - where I come from for ANYONE to hit ANYONE. Violence is NOT acceptable and women, in specific should be revered and not hit.
I know that there are women who often instigate fights - however, it is often the man using violence against the woman.
Women should not be singled out.
Most women are not as physically strong as men. For a man to hit a woman, it is not a fair fight. It is not cool - it is not funny - it is extremely brutal, unnacceptable - evil and WRONG.
No matter what the woman looks like.
I think men who beat women are pigs. They are scum, they have no reason for existing other than to be evil bastards who hurt people who are much more defenseless than him.
A man who beats a woman is usually insecure, stupid and needs to hurt things that cannot defend themselves.
Men who think it is ok to beat women are most certainly cut from the same cloth.
Anyone who thinks WOMEN should be assaulted, hit or treated as a lower class - is certainly not educated and enjoys being "ON TOP" or in control --- and is as backwoods as any disgusting rednecked pig.

PS. This is another reason that I have major problems with most religions - that seek to keep women out of positions of power by keeping them under thumb... I find that the men FEAR that women will usurp their power - and they have such insecurity that they use muscle over brains.-

But, I think (and hope) GFG was just trying hard to be funny when he made that comment. And he didnt actually mean it. -

Equal in society, equal before the Law, however in most cases not physically equal. That is where the cowardice comes into play.

GFG - it's a proven fact that MEN are STRONGER physically than women.
That's not equality then, when a man HITS a woman.
True - some women DO hit men - and do cause violence.
BUT IN TRUTH VIOLENCE IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR EQUALLY.
And it is even less so when a strong man assaults a woman.
I think you are purposefully answering things in a way that is meant to evoke a reaction. I don't know why you are doing this...
And I apologize if you were ever treated rudely.
But please, take a breath, re-join mentally and stop sniping in conversations. Actually take part in them.
I don't believe for a moment that you think it is alright for men to assault women inside, internally.
IF you do... then you are someone who might need some psychological assistance.

I agree with the points above, that violence is always wrong, especially from a man to a woman. Just wanted to point something else out.
What I see a lot in the media is the portrayal of violence against men by women as being hilarious. You watch any chat show and there will be some woman slapping her spouse, and the audience falls into hysterics.
I think any sort of violence is disgusting and any woman who beats a man should be locked up for a very long time.
