"There is no natural cure in the world that will save you from stroke or heart attack, and “natural” products are based on what we already can get from food, daily exercise and sunshine.
Relying on natural products is no different than relying on prescriptions. It’s the same idea. Does anyone think there’s not BIG money in the sale of natural health products? The safety issues really do vary. Too many people think more is better because something is “natural”. They take natural products and don’t tell their doctors, complicating their medical care."

What's your response to this quote:
"The truth is, educating yourself thoroughly, and using conventional medicine in combination with natural cures is likely the better approach to managing your health."

I don't really use any vitamins or such. I just try to purchase fresh veggies and fruits (organic whenever possible), a bit of poultry, fish, and meat - with no antibiotics, and misc. herbs, spices, etc. Some almond or rice milk, and organic grains. All very simple and fresh. This gives me the basic food that I need to create energy and keep well. But, I agree, this is not enough.
I try to exercise every day. Yoga, tai chi, walking, biking, etc. Always in moderation. I enjoy walking in the sun. The exercise keeps my body and mind flexible, and keeps the blood/energy paths open, and the blood flowing smoothly throughout my body.
I also try (as best I can), to remain relaxed, with not too many big ups and downs in my life. Stress, inhibits the blood/energy flow, which is of course unhealthy.
So, I agree totally with your proposition. Relying on one magic bullet is probably not going to do the trick. It is a combination of lots of factors, and everyone is different.

I also agree, but I treated my body like an amusement park for so many years that now I need supplementation to get it operating right.
Very good article, by the way.-
Ya - Amusement park...
My issue has always been why the garbage disposal was always so close to the amusement park...
But You know the quote is fairly accurate. I have an issue with "cons" whether they are in the prescription or not world. You do realize that the same company or parent company tends to make both...
Diet - Excercise - Attitude and paying attention to what your body is telling you is where you need to start...
