A few days ago Spanish TV and the newspapers were reporting on an interview with John McCain where he was asked if he would meet with Spain's president Zapatero if he is elected to the presidency. McCain responded that he wouldn't meet any leader from South America who works against US values. WTF?
Anyway, here in Spain it's turning into a bit of a joke with Yankk go home being heard everywhere. I wrote up a short post about it;

But seriously, what kind of fool is this guy if he doesn't know where Spain is?

I heard sometimes heard the "go home" phrase in the 80s when I was in the army and there were a lot of Americans stationed in Europe, but what's it even supposed to mean in the South American context? (And yeah, I know you're writing about Spain.)
Lest Spaniards feel slighted, they should recall McCain's gaffes about an Iraq-Pakistan border. And at least McCain hasn't supported a preemptive strike on Spain.

It seems lame that one of your candidates seems not to know where to find Spain in the map. But it is much more depressing to live under a goverment that tries to sell that issue as a foreign policy success: "They are talking about us in their campaign, ha, ha, how big and important we are". Geography can be learned, common sense cannot.
