I love conde - that would be great.

Yeah right. Like he's gonna choose anyone serving in the current administration. Sure, his Iraq policy is no different than Bush's, but why would he want to highlight that?

And doesn't Rice have enough work to do? Do you think foreign policy is something that can just be put on hold for the race?

Actually, the way things are going it might not be such a bad idea at all if we could give the people currently formulating foreign policy something else to do for a while...a Presidential race might be just the kind of distraction we need.

Depends whether you want the world to be a better place or not

Although there's lots i like about American People, the music and I'm sure I'd love the countryside, you politicians are atrocious.

Kevin, you seem like such a nice person and are intelligent (apart from kwalas), I can't understand how you can't see a problem with those guys.

Being an Alabamian, I've always been fond of Condi. Geez...I see it amazes some of you that (gasp), some of us actually might not be democrats? Eh gads....how could anyone be so stupid.

You know - we're just simple and slow. Not as sophisticated as ya'll.

      Yeah, that what he says

I don't think that will ever happen. I never thought about them running on the same ticket. I think it is an amazing team.

If McCain is reading this, consider it! You would win by miles.

Can you imagine McCain/Rice versus Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton? Talk about historic!
  7. kaybday
I really don't think either's gonna happen. McCain ain't Bush--just ask your local conservative. And if Clinton and Obama team up, both of 'em better keep an eye on the backside. Just my opinion, tho. I admire Rice a lot, probably more than a single actor in this election on both sides. But I don't see that happening.

    People admiring Condi Rice?

Why? What did Rice do to deserve your respect? She lied many times about WMDs in Iraq.

    Quote:
"Rice was an outspoken proponent of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. After Iraq delivered its declaration of weapons of mass destruction to the United Nations on December 8, 2002, Rice wrote an editorial for The New York Times entitled Why We Know Iraq Is Lying.[35][36]

In March 2004, Rice declined to testify before the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the 9/11 Commission). The White House claimed executive privilege under constitutional separation of powers and cited past tradition. Under pressure, Bush agreed to allow her to testify[37] so long as it did not create a precedent of Presidential staff being required to appear before United States Congress when so requested. Her appearance before the commission on April 8, 2004, was accepted by the Bush administration in part because she was not appearing directly before Congress. She thus became the first sitting National Security Advisor to testify on matters of policy. In April 2007, Rice rejected, on grounds of executive privilege, a House subpoena regarding the prewar claim that Iraq sought yellowcake uranium from Niger.[38]"

We've lost over 4000 soldiers due to her lies and you think she should run for vice president???
  9. kaybday
Nope, I don't think she should run for vp. Still admire her. Wikipedia good read but not acceptable source (imo). On Iraq, I just don't want to debate that with anyone. But I think we should remember Hussein admitted he misled other countries about his capabilities, we were already bombing the joint (under the previous presidential admin), and UN sanctions were completely ignored by the UN and the entire world for that matter. Hindsight's 20-20. We're in Iraq. The trick is to get out without letting the place fall apart as we did with Cuba (Dem admin), Vietnam (Dem admin), and now, potentially Iraq. Try looking at statements made about Iraq in the last year of the Clinton admin (check out Google archives.) Now I promise to shut up.

    I lied.

You looking for a hero in D.C. you ain' gonna find one in either party.
    1. MarkPogue
And what do you admire about her?

If you don't like wikipedia, I can post many articles from The Washington Post, New York Times, etc...stating the same.
    2. MarkPogue
We were never a occupation force in Cuba.
And if so...who was the commanding general?
    3. MarkPogue
Veering away from Condi's lies? We weren't discussing troop withdrawal.

I was trying to convey and remind others about the lies that led to our invasion of Iraq...the greatest military blunder.

Rice was the National Security Adviser in 2003. Her mishap cost hundreds of billions of dollars and the lives of over 4000 soldiers.

Rice should be tried in court.

The way Rice gazes adoringly at the current management is enough to disqualify her in my eyes. Never good to let your crushes get in the way of little things like honesty and using your brain independently.

I wonder just how far down my throat I can shove my finger

It's a slam dunk...Those are the best possible puppets the Republicans could possibly run...

McCain/Rice vs Obama/Clinton would still be a landslide for thr Democrats...

    Heaven forbid!
