    is it confirmed?

    omg he is really dead
  3. JonnyDunMind
all of the articles seem to be quoting 'TMZ.com' as their source...
    Denial?
    1. trailofpen
Actually, with TMZ's stalkerish techniques, I wouldn't doubt they would be first on the scene. I'm willing to bet they had a "reporter" planted outside his house just waiting to ambush him with a camera.

This just in: Kids are finally safe to be outside after dark.
  5. melindaville
I was never a huge fan (to be perfectly honest)--but I am so sorry for his family and particularly his kids. I hope he is finally at peace--he had such a tortured life.
  6. trailofpen
That's actually pretty sad. Even though I laughed at the guy when he was alive, I can't believe he's actually dead. Wow...
    1. deoangel
I think we all laughed at him at some point. He sucked personally. Yet, his music was timeless.
  7. TigerXtrm
Damn, that's the first artist that I actually lived to hear about, unlike the dead artists your parents always used to morn over, you know? Sucks.

    R.I.P Wacko Jacko!
    1. deoangel
Yeah, I agree. Some sites say his is dead and others say he isnt doing so hot. I hope he is alive. I am just so saddened. I pray for his family and children.
    2. TigerXtrm
Do you pray for his children or for THE children? There's a massive difference there...

      Oh I'm so bad XD

CNN is reporting that he's in a coma
    1. deoangel
      I hope he survives.
    2. Stillthinking
ABC, NBC, and CBS all just reported that he has passed.
    3. JonnyDunMind
CBS is the illuminati. They know he's dead, they gave him the FOXDIE virus that killed him.

      Im going with CBS

I have been crying since I heard the news. I remember my brother dressing up in the red jacket, and me running from the room terrified every time Thriller came on MTV.

What is really weird as that I just answered a thread 16 hours ago right here on blogcatalog that asked "What is your guilty pleasure?" and I answered:

    "Michael Jackson."

He is dead, and his last years were spent being the punchline to every joke. It is so terribly sad.
    1. JonnyDunMind
I am glad that I defended him now. At least with the children issue.

But at the same time, how was I to know?

I feel sad that I'm going home now, because I'll have a TV again and will probaly have to hear the jokes.

No comedy panel shows for me.

      Throw away your television

It's almost unbelievable....not sure why but it is.

CORRECTION: Michael Jackson Has Been Dead For Years
  14. JonnyDunMind
My friend just broke the record for the fastest post death joke.

And it was in good humor too be fair, wasn't taking the mickey about any of the serious iussues.

I feel its a little innapropriate for now, but may help witht the grieving.
    1. JonnyDunMind
I've decided it's better to respect his death without a joke, as there will be plenty more, harsher ones to come.
  15. Friday13
    First Farrah, now this.

He may have been a weirdo, and had the world laugh at his expense, but what talent! What a career! I'll remain a fan of his work.
    1. maryse
Apparently Jeff Goldblum is dead now?
    2. Friday13
Nah. Seems they're trying to make this day a trifecta of celebrity deaths.
    3. wolfmechanics
      maryse:
I was about to have a f#cking seizure when I read the Jeff Goldblum thing. I'm a huge fan of his, too (The Fly, anyone?). I probably would have decided to just quit life.
    4. maryse
@wolf Whoaaaaa! I'm really sorry, Yes, I found out the source was false (courtesy of fakeawish.com) and you're right @Friday

    Such a said event...
    1. bettieblogger
      @wolf .. you'd "quit life" over a celebrity death? that's kinda messed up ..
    2. wolfmechanics
      @bettieblogger

No, it's just a saying. It would have been hard to bear though. It would probably just throw me into a depression for a while as I realized how I'll see so many people die. The cost of living, I guess.
  17. freeatlast
It's a bit of downer... but bound to happen. I actually learned to respect him highly as an amazing musician, after years of not knowing anything about him... I wrote about my first encounter with him and just published it... wrote it years ago while in the throes of leaving christianity and couldn't help but remember how much people worshipped him as a god.

Enh, no great loss to society. Sure he created some amazing music, but ... his death has no affect on my life. Further, his life had no affect on my life.
  19. Jeunelle
1st David Carradine and now Michael Jackson WOW but let's face it folks, everyone living dies sometime. I think I'll go to the hairdresser the night before I croak, I want to make sure my hair looks good on my way out and make sure I ain't wearing any clothes or shoes.
I want to go out the same way I came in except for nice hair
    1. Friday13
What a crappy month it's been. David, Michael, Ed McMahon, Farrah ... bad month for being famous.
  20. ophase
He is dead but his works will be alive forever.

  24. yahshar
I remember my brother and I seeing him at Disneyland back in the 80s. We almost got close enough to say hi when a crowd of crazed fans stampeded us.

    WHAT??!!... AGAIN??!!...
  30. edgecrosser
very saddened about this news, and the time when people judged him from the scandal 5 yrs ago without even thinking of his previous charities and the thing he did in the 80's in his peak time, the world was cruel to him lately. well, his works and music lives forever.

    my heart with MJ
  31. ganeshramanjs
the world will miss one of the legends in pop music...
  32. Alcomum
there is much people can argue about and disagree on about MJ. But his music and influence existed long before all that and will continue long after. RIP
