Mike Huckabee - Anybody think of a good reason not to vote for him as the next US President?

His track record is solid. The only common thing he has with Hilary Clinton is the roots in Hope Arkansas.

That depends. Are you traditionally liberal or conservative? I assume conservative.
In the recent debates, Huckabee has been trying more to more to say what Ron Paul has been saying for 20 years. Huckabee just recently said he wants to get rid of the IRS. Good for him, but I'd rather elect a guy who leads rather than a guy who follows. Though perhaps the reason Huckabee is trying to emulate Paul's positions is because Huckabee has made less money from donations THIS MONTH than Ron Paul makes on average each day.
Huckabee does not agree with Ron on the Iraq conflict. This bit is taken from another poster on a different forum:
In a debate Huckabee said about Iraq (paraphrased):
"We broke it, we bought it."
Now take a look at this article (cbs4.com/topstories/topstories_story_291005925.html) where he talks about the IRS:
"I come from the deep south in Arkansas, and we have a feeling if you can't fix it with duct tape and WD-40, it can't be fixed."
Maybe Huckabee should get some duct tape and WD-40 and go fix Iraq.
I prefer Dr. Paul's answer, "It was a mistake to go in, it's a mistake to stay."

Huckabee is also weak on immigration.
He has compared illegal aliens to slaves brought here in chains from Africa, saying, ‘I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before.’ -
Interesting short question here posted on youtube for Mike Huckabee on illegal immigration;

Actually, I read an interesting article on Gov. Huckabee sometime back...wish I could find it. But the main thrust of the article was how he represents a shift in Christian conservatives. Huckabee and company espouse the idea that Christians should use all the resources of government to help the least powerful of us. From what this article says, he is extremely unpopular with most of the current leaders of the right.
All that being said, I agree with Stoneman, as a Democrat, he's never gonna get my vote.
