A fossil has been found that supposedly establishes the "missing link"

The fossil, he says, bridges the evolutionary split between higher primates such as monkeys, apes, and humans and their more distant relatives such as lemurs.

"This is the first link to all humans," Hurum, of the Natural History Museum in Oslo, Norway, said in a statement. Ida represents "the closest thing we can get to a direct ancestor."

Ida, properly known as Darwinius masillae, has a unique anatomy. The lemur-like skeleton features primate-like characteristics, including grasping hands, opposable thumbs, clawless digits with nails, and relatively short limbs.

Amazing, all these new discoveries. Last week, in Prague, they found the missing link between Catholics and Protestants.

Great grandpa's ghost! Have they no respect for the dead?

Sorry... I couldn't resist. It actually is a really interesting article.

Ah brilliant I wondered where I had put it. That's the thing with these links you put them down for a minute and then you never see them again.

    The missing link is Norwegian?
    1. aningeniousname
      Mines not, it's from Lincolnshire.
    2. gtally
      Does it look like this?

    3. aningeniousname
Yes! Have you been taking pics of my bedroom with a long lens again?
    4. gtally
You're bedroom is on Google Earth. You might want to quit being a cheapskate and go ahead and finish your roof.
    5. aningeniousname
If I choose not to have a roof that's my prerogative! What's the world coming to when a man can't walk around his own roofless bedroom in his girl friend's peep hole bra and crotchless knickers without global perverts using web based mapping systems to peep.
    6. gtally
Well, it's not my fault! The giant flashing neon "Look at Me!" arrow on the finished part of the roof was just begging for attention.

Oh and where I am supposed to keep it Dr Einstein, if I don't keep it up on the roof beams pointed at my open air love pit and lingerie showroom?
Should I just leave it out on the street being a traffic hazard pointing to nothing and disappointing people?
