I'd like to give my Moron of the Decade to NASA for its latest effort

The title of the article is Moon Explosion Could Yield Water For Humans .. just add an R to the word Moon

Moron of the Decade award? I’d offer these two candidates. First, invading Iraq. What exactly was that supposed to be about? I still don’t have a clue. Second candidate…sub-prime loans packaged as securities. Treating our homes as tools for speculation as if they were baseball cards or dot com stocks. Iraq cost billions and thousands of lives…sub-prime securities cost trillions. What ticks me off is NOBODY is accountable.

Me because I'm all over this place making comments when I should be writing a paper since I have 3 due. Blog Catalog killed my education and ate my homework.

No, that's the lack of self discipline award.

Ok, I'm putting on my teacher hat here, Create a list of what you've got to do, start slowly with simple study tasks, make it achievable and set a stopping time and also a schedule to start again. And for more study tips, sign up for my eBook called 'Blogacatalog Addiction Can Be Cured'

I think they did a TOP job. The technology may just come in handy one day when the BIG one is heading to earth to wipe us all out!

    that's an interesting perspective Mac

But what if it was to disturb the balance of 'space' nature?

They still get my award... the guy in charge thought it was 'a cool thing to do'. What's cool about bombarding the moon and looking for water so the elite can have a little space station if the earth becomes uninhabitable?

The moon is the closest thing we've got if anything like that happens .. Sounds like an interesting thing!

Although, I'm more excited about the BIGGEST SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY IN THIS GALAXY that was just announced recently (Saturn) ...

      .. "one billion Earths..."

@acousticguitarist: The balance of 'space nature" will continue to be disturbed, with or without mankind. For as long as the human race has been in existence, we have sought out new ways to go where no other creature has gone before.

Yes, our greed and disrepect for all things good have certainly made a mess of this world and if we don't do something now, it may be too late for future generations to live as we once did.

Space exploration to seek out new worlds may be our only saving grace in the end. Are we to sit back and do nothing until the last moment. No, I think not. Giving up is the easy choice.

What they did on the moon recently, appears rough handed, but if it gives future generations a chance to move on beyond what we have here when the time comes, granted only a few perhaps, isn't it worth it? I say, yes - best regards - Peter
