What are most annoying things on blogs? Popups, too much ads? What else?
Here's a small list, feel free to add more things:
- "Admin": Many bloggers do not care about changing their nicknames and let it be "admin" or similar. It appears as if blog is written by a ghost or a bot.
- Comments by "Keywords": When commenting, some bloggers show how hungry they are for optimized links and leave names like xyzblog, xyztips. Again, this is big irritant.
- Popups: Popups are once again returning. And this time, popups are shown through scripts on page and not in extra windows, so browsers can not even block.I know that the blog has RSS feeds and don't want a popup. So, why annoy me(and possibly make me hit that "close" button on tab.
- New Windows/Tabs Many bloggers think, "Hmm..... If I Open new tabs, visitor will not leave my blog and I will have more chances of getting him subscribed." But dear blogger, there is something like a back button on browser, if you have good content, reader will hit it and can do anything he wants. Why increase clutter a bit more?
- Heavy-Promotion: Many people place lot of ads in sidebar hoping this will increase chances of getting clicked. This only annoys readers and many will leave to never return.
Add more to list. What annoys you most on blogs?

More ads than content
Puerile content
Music
Pop unders
Sites that won't close when I click the close button
Unexpected referrals to other sites...I don't want to go to someone else's site when I click a button on yours unless I specifically make that choice.
Content so poorly written I have to figure out what the writer is trying to express.
Poor grammar, punctuation, and spelling: If it is worth publishing, it is worth publishing correctly.
Opinion presented as fact.
I could go on...and on...and ON... -

Long posts are not necessarily bad things. But if they are not enhanced visually (A post on "Dressing Up" Your Best Blog Posts: bloggingwithsuccess.net/how-to-gussy-up-best-blog-post ), they may turn visitors down!
