The most enchanting answer? What as in the most charming and delightful or the most factual? Just clarifying the rules with ' enchanting' If enchanting then I'll put in into context as a fairytale if not then pure fact. Do let us flowers know at the message board aswell as here. Ta.

Enchanting means, "Attract; cause to be enamoured"
How much your answer is attractive..

Blogging is the expression of an individuals idea and thought. Corporate America can take that and change it to any way which it will be profitable for them. Yes, it can be used in that way, but so can so many other web technologies besides blogging. The moral value in which the blogging is used for should be looked into more then using the blogging for marketing. A company that uses blogging with false or one sided information then doesn't let the world express there comments on the site is not blogging but pure marketing and advertising. Blogging means people react and post comments and discuses the article. Unless you have that then it is only Press Release and not a blog.

Ok - here goes and thanks for clarifying the definition of attract / cause to be enamoured which we will attempt to do now. Without music, incense, babyoil and a twister mat and white bath robes its difficult but here goes:

Blogging is another potentialy powerful yet equally damaging extention of a brand, persons or organisations touchpoints.

In English - if it does what is says on the label then people will return to it if it offers them subject matter that rocks their boat. You need rules for any blog - what's in, whats out, who the target audience is and measures of success - is it links (yawn) blid faves, stumbles, high fives and wrestling holds (ours is comments at our blog that educate us and our readers AND sales of flowers as and when they come) - whatever it is - define it sharpish, oh and your vision of successw while you're at it.

If blog content engages visitors enough to post a comment (I know only 5% of our visitors post a comment on our 'cool blog' - some just like to swing by a read - fine) and reutrn to see what comments have come back then it is on the way to being a +ve.

The balance of freedom of speach, political, religious, sexal, sporting veiws allowed to be featured and aired can make or break the blog. Sometimes sex sells, other times its a disaster. Back to the twister mat.

Blog from the heart, do everything from the heart and he advertising can follow. Not the other way around.

Blog - engage - respond to opportunities that come up through comments - then sell.

Decent Marketing makes sales superfluous - click and buy flowers on a blog without the cheap Xsitepro marketing 1 pageer in your inbox and you're on the way.

Our final advice - DAILOGUE not MONOLOGUE in every aspect of your brand, business and therefore blog.

Anyway, there we GO! - written from the heart - probably typos (I type with two fingers and use my thumb on the spacebar when I'm really clever) but hey - its not about prefection, right?

Right, about that twister, mind if we play naked?
  5. gosmelltheflowers
    All that typing and nothing?

Ok - clothed twister then, forget the naked.
  6. gosmelltheflowers
    Still nothing :0(

In answer to your question absolutely yes! Blogging is good because you can be very creative with your marketing and sometimes go places that regular websites can't.

Blogging itself is a niche market and people don't see that. Blogging has opened up an entirely different avenue to cater too!

Which came first, blogging or Web 2.0?

People want to be seen even if there is no pay involved and blogging serves that purpose and what better way to market yourself! (or your company...)
