Is is a real mouse or it a funny lump of old dough? It's mousey shaped. Guess they'll need an xray to see if there are any mousey bones inside. The man who discovered it has already settled for his gross-out.

I don't see any fur and the baking process is not hot enough to burn fur off.

Scientists say it was "starch buildup," nothing mousey except the shape. See urbanlegends.about.com/b/2008/11/07/mouse-in-hot-dog-bun-update.htm for the results. BTW - one guy thinks it was an image of Jesus!

Horrible, eating a mouse is probably better for you than eating a hotdog with all the carcinogens in hotdogs.

Wanna know what's grosser than that? my boss at work once made me fish a dead rat out of the toilet with a pair of tongs.
What's grosser than that? She didn't let me throw the tongs away.-
When I worked in the office of a very tiny light-industry company, I was asked to 1)proofread and retype his teenage son's essay for school, 2)type up a brownies recipe so that it fit a certain size for his wife, 3) type up the family letter and print out copies, to be inserted into their personal Christmas cards. I received a card with (my) letter in it which was really weird!

Too funny! I am imagining a little mouse trapped inside a soap bubble, floating up into the sky! I forget what "bubble and squeek" is but I remember from my daughter's geneology project last year that's it's something from England... BTW I have a question for you, assuming we are across that pond from eachother...bangers and mash - does the word "bangers" refer to what I think it does (what the sausage looks like)?

I don't think it's a mouse. The features aren't quite --detailed-- to be called a mouse. It looks more like a clump of discolored bread.
*-There should have been a stinking smell of dead flesh. There was none reported.
*-There should have been traces of burned flesh. Not even blood was found.
*-The back part of the 'mouse' is flat and furry. Dead flesh does not behave that way, if it was a REAL mouse, there should still be a curvature there and not total flatness. Only bread behaves that way.
*-Its shape is uneven.
*-There were no visible eyes. Mice have cute little glittering eyes. -
Actually this is a quite well known phenomenon called mouse bread tumour, it's caused by cancerous yeast and drops of mouse urine in the dough. it's actually very common in the baking industry.
